Dont try to divert from the question. That's not what I asked. Why call out Nido on twitter if he was doing the right thing and only showing us respect? That question didn't mention race or us being an HBCU. You are the one who was initally upset about what Nido was doing. No one played the race card to make you feel that way. Correct I was initially upset but I didn’t say they didn’t sell us tickets because we were black. Others on this board are saying it is racially motivated… In another post didn’t you ask about black players motivation at PWIs. So tell me how you parse out race as it relates to their motivation vs. race as it related to decision makers. If the players can be informed by their race in a contest why can the administrators of that school have thought about in regards to their decision making? It was not a good look, disrespectful, and likely unprecedented. HPU should have thought about the implications and how it looks beyond us outnumbering them in their home arena.

I’m not going to go back and forth over this topic, it wasn’t a race based decision…you have your line drawn in the sand and I have mine. 😀

Yeah, just let it go 2039. Your argument and position was shaky back I believe on page 3 when you chose to ask in a facetious manner what HBCU culture is. Don't view things through the lens of a lost argument, but merely an opportunity to learn and grow. There are a wealth of thought leaders on this site and it's ok to evolve on your thinking.

Moaggie, True, these are opportunities to grow...trust me my thinking has evolved. I too thought everything was about race until I actually took emotions out of the equation. The thought leaders on the board can evolve their thinking too. Many like my family members lived through the civil rights era and integrated schools in Talladega Alabama, their thoughts on race relations have not changed since then. I love my family but I form my own thoughts and refuse to let them cloud how I approach this thing called life. Yes racism does exist, but everything that happens isnt because A&T is a HBCU. Right, wrong or indifferent some on this board grew up in the same era and view things through the same lens. No fault of their own, it is PTSD and understandable.

That wont send a message. We should want to boat race every team we play in Corbett. HPU is no different. A message would be for Chancellor Martin to pick up the phone and call Nido directly and tell him that he felt disrespected by HPU's "spirit night" stunt. That would be the appropriate message to send. And in all fairness, we should hold an "Aggie Spirit Night" on Wednesday, February 23rd and no tickets will be sold on non-Greensboro residents (DL required) in advance of the game. Blue & Gold Aggie attire required.
I'm still pissed off about this Jim Crow stunt. This makes almost less sense than what Aggie2039 was talking about. Why would we sacrifice our own revenue just to get back at HPU? They dont have any fans that are coming to Corbett anyway.

I just thought about this. If Hampton does indeed make the immediate jump will their new CAA scheduling end up affecting our 2022 homecoming foe since Hampton is slated to play us for GHOE this fall? Just thinking out loud here.

Was thinking the same thing. Need to be calling Winston or a CIAA school now. I didn't see a need for the AD or coach to make a statement/press conference because of a 5-6 season. But I do see a need for one, due to the conference instability (football).

They don’t want no smoke. i mean, hpu is what, 10 or 15 miles from greensboro? yet, hpu administrators didn't know that a&t has always had an hbcu culture? i mean, you think nobody at hpu had ever known that a&t has been an hbcu since its founding? i'm not a betting man, but i'd be willing to bet my "house" that hpu administrators knew darn well that a&t has an hbcu culture. i honestly don't see how its even possible that they didn't know...

Some are making something out of nothing. Evidently someone was selling tickets because there were quite a few A&T fans although small in number at the game . If you know someone that was at the game , why not just ask them were or who they got their tickets from . Calling what HP did racist or a act of racism, is like Calling Martin racist for moving A&T to the Big S****it under the cover of darkness 😆🤣

Just thinking out loud here. hail, i've already made my ghoe hotel reservations! fortunately my deposit is refundable but a lot of hotels don't do that if you've guaranteed your reservations. hopefully if they leave, it won't be effective until next season 2023...

That was not the point I was making. .. of course they know we come from an hbcu.. but they have no clue what hbcu culture is about and how we can get down if it comes to that. I made this clear after the sentence you copied and pasted if you would have kept reading.
