i don't recall "any" meac schools ever doing that, not even nccu. folk chose to put their heads in the sand regarding things like this in the bsc. it should've been "expected".
best believe some of these bsc schools "resent" having hbcu's in "their" conference. there's still bigotry in this country. hence, the reason we're pressed to preserve our "voting rights" that many supporters of the bsc support "suppressing"...

Doesn't matter what their motivation was. The message is still the same. The didn't sell us ticket because we have a larger fanbase and we would have had a sizable presence at their home game. The fact that we are an HBCU was just a package deal. Either way that is a disrespectful way to treat a team in your conference. You knew that when you called for Nido to be publicly shamed on social media. And now you are jumping through hoops trying to make excuses for that disrespect. You care more about defending HPU's right to disrespect us more than you care about your own alma mater being disrespected. SMH. Let that sink in. They did give 1 million dollars to Bennett. But that does not mean anything. Conservatives and some racist have always supported hbcus. Trump gave more money than anyone. It’s Jim Crow thinking for some and self reliance agenda for others . I know first hand because this is my entire job. Supporting black led schools of choice. And I am funded by 100% Republicans and it can go either way. I would like to think it was the latter. I also know he knew 100% how this could have been perceived. This is no different than Karen or Joe at work make a comment that they clearly should get smacked for but then you realize that they don’t even know what they did. Lol. Anyways HPU does not know we come from an hbcu culture. FAMU will play their fight song when we score a touchdown. We will run our football team on your field right in the middle of your senior day program. Don’t start none won’t be none. Far as I’m concerned - it’s started. Gloves off. |

That wont send a message. We should want to boat race every team we play in Corbett. HPU is no different. A message would be for Chancellor Martin to pick up the phone and call Nido directly and tell him that he felt disrespected by HPU's "spirit night" stunt. That would be the appropriate message to send.
I'm still pissed off about this Jim Crow stunt. |

So they can sell tickets to every game on their schedule ... except for the one against the next door HBCU and you guys are cool with that? I’m cool with it… I understand why they did it, if they stopped black people from attending their game I wouldn’t be cool with that. They wanted home court advantage for this game, nothing more and nothing less. |
