Speaking of Hampton, they and Howard could be making a beeline to the CAA before June 30th if the Monmouth thing actually happens. You think that is going to happen? Personally? No. But then again, while hearing about A&T's BOT talks regarding their move to the Big South, I didn't actually believe it was happening until it did.

Why would that be contingent on a Monmouth move? It was something about balancing out the divisional travel in the CAA and CAA football conferences. Monmouth and Fairfield would be in the north while Hampton/Howard or UNCG would go the south. What does Fairfield have over RMU? If this true seems like the CAA is strengthening the NE position. Elon, W&M, and Richmond should be considering their options.

Robert Morris is a stretch for any CAA team since they're in the Pittsburgh Metro. Meanwhile, Fairfield is in CT, which isn't too far from a few of the northern CAA members. And of course, Monmouth is right smack within that potential Northern CAA division. Rumor has it Richmond and W&M were eying returning to the SoCon although the Patriot League would love to have them, again.

If Monmouth departs, what if Elon, W&M, and Richmond came to the Big South?

If Monmouth departs, what if Elon, W&M, and Richmond came to the Big South? Doubtful. Specifically, Richmond and W&M look down upon the academic standings of the Big South schools. Elon would also follow this premise.

That means we would potentially need to find three more OOC games to replace Kennesaw, North Alabama and Monmouth. That could be Coach's saving grace for next year. That also leaves Robert Morris on an island. It will be interesting to see how the conference responds. The Big South would be in the exact same position as the MEAC with six(6) football playing schools, but with only five of them being full time members. Something has to give.

Looks like the Big South is going to lose Monmouth to the CAA. Big South just got a bit easier.
Looks like we might get another open week to schedule a game

the bsc has always been a "musical chairs" conference. this is nothing new, that's why they added two hbcu's to their conference...

You have a point, this could be a good case of addition by subtraction. Could be perfect storm for current coaching staff. If they make correct adjustments this off-season, get better I key positions going into 2022, they will have opportunity to play for AQ. In turn will earn them extensions in Aggie land. If that does happen I can already here the naysayers discrediting a 2022 title with 2 top dogs no longer in play. My only response to them will be... let's all say it together in unison, "ALL WINS ARE GOOD WINS" lol. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, if they are worth their salt, they should be licking their chops and doing everything in their power to ensure we win this thing in 2022 if indeed KSU and Monmouth are not in the league.
