So this was paraded around social media and message boards back in the Fall. Will it happen? Maybe. If it does, Football will be out on an island kind of as it is now while Basketball and other Olympic sports are sitting pretty in a fairly compact conference.

I suspect it will happen. MEAC and BSC may have to form a scheduling alliance.

ASUN and BSC may continue their relationship, ASUN is in a world of hurt too…

If Monmouth leaves the Big South, that eliminates a major team between us and the conference title. That's assuming our coaches can get the team back to its winning ways. I'd hate to see them exit before we could repay them for messing up our last Homecoming but bye 👋
Ofcourse, Hampton and Kennesaw State are going to have a say about the 2022 championship.

Isn't KSU going to another Conference....I thought that I saw that somewhere. (because I wanted payback from the 14-0 shutout).

And who knows, may end up meeting a Davison. ( I really wanted to say FAMU). Having a 4 way Tie for 3rd place was too weird. But easier to take considered how we played/fell apart.

I never saw Monmouth or RMU staying long term because of the travel costs.
Interesting in re Hampton being a contender next year.

If this happens, it would make little sense for the MEAC and the Big South to both have 6 football teams each.

It was something about balancing out the divisional travel in the CAA and CAA football conferences. Monmouth and Fairfield would be in the north while Hampton/Howard or UNCG would go the south.
