Again there is no logical reason to have to make that choice. Restricting people that pay the most and loves the school the most is pound for penny stupid in terms of marketing, building and maintaining culture. “He doesn’t want to pay” is exhibit A of a privilege mindset and is indicative of the problem . It is a privileged statement. Because I can do it I expect everyone to be the same as me. I can afford to have me and my family but I might not be able to afford another 100.00 for 3 kids to come that are not mine, it’s disappointing people say this. You expect this out of rich conservatives not black folks who is just a generation away from the “community” you are scared of and half your family is still in that situation. It’s unbelievable. Don’t ask people to leave the tailgate because they want to invite people, I would say the opposite. If you want exclusive at a 21k div 1 football stadium maybe you should stay at home and watch it online. You can be exclusive as you want to be and you don’t have to worry about your fear of getting shot in the head walking to the stadium. Again zero reasons to have a gamezone. It only serves to feed egos. That’s it. With this logic we should do away with reserve seating and priority buying of season tickets for donors right? Cause that's play to play too Exactly, cause I cant bring my cousin with me to reserves.......

It serves to keep the free loaders away🤷🏾♂️. What is wrong with being a conservative? Most black people are conservatives however the deal of getting free stuff and being able to blame everyone else for problems is too good of a deal to pass up. Kind of the way some keep blaming the game zone for their friends not being willing to support A&T financially but want all the spoils. Like why buy the cow if I can get the milk for free🤷🏾♂️ This is point is invalid by the simple fact the “free loaders” are a half a block away.. makes no sense at all. What does it have anything to do with you at all what’s going on at my tailgate. Why do you care if someone is eating my food drinking my beer. This does not concern you at all.. not even a little bit. But please indulge me you anyone - if you hate so called “freeloaders” so much .. For the love of God can someone please tell me the difference between freeloaders on laurel on campus using our bathrooms, our security, and our clean up staff.. all the things y’all hate - not ten miles down the road not 5 not even 1 mile A HALF A BLOCK!!’ Someone anybody make it make sense. I’m begging you.

I agree, there is little difference.
So set up your tailgate outside the game zone. The argument goes both ways.
I know a person that can help you make sense of it if you’re truly interested and not just putting on. His name is Earl Hilton and you can contact him directly.

I will do that- but the argument does not go both ways. For me to move my tailgate to Laurel so you guys can feel important is not acceptable. Since after 22 pages we all agreed there is absolutely no difference - the only reasonable explanation is that it’s not about free loaders, it’s not about revenue, it’s not about security - it’s all about exclusivity and privilege. That’s all I been trying to get across. And I will recommend that you guys have all of that - just on the home side. Y’all fellas have a good weekend

You too.
Let us know what you ask Earl and what he responds. It should be interesting.

I know this will probably turn into a debate, but I have to ask. Should our Covid protocols be relaxed? Hear me out...I know most people will think our attendance was low because of the new conference, but I personally don't think so. Delaware St 2019 is really my argument. Is it the ticket prices, fear of Covid, or the "hassle" of having to get a test for the unvaccinated? We really only have 2 more home games to worry about (Excluding Homecoming) so how will we fill the stands?
For reference in 2019 (Yes I know Covid happened since then) Elon 16.3k (opener/visiting fans) Del St 16.5k (No band/maybe 500 visiting fans(if that) Howard 21.5k (Homecoming/no band) BCU 10.3k (cold 47degrees/no band) Nccu 11k (raining/cold 45degrees)

I really wish we would say ONLY vaccinated can attend.

Man, I am glad that the powers to be don't follow all of the advice given or suggested on this board. Leave the Covid-19 protocol alone. It is an important safety measure. Besides you would have a problem with the political entities. People who love A&T sports will attend. Those fans are the die-hard base, but many of the folks are aging and in poor health. Those are the rabid fans that packed the games at old Memorial Stadium. They consisted of Alums, area sports fans and the student body. Those days are long gone. Black folks are rather cavalier about HBCU sports, as evidenced by the low attendance at the Celebration Bowl and the now defunct Aggie-Eagle classic. The Bayou Classic is not as popular as in the past. The CIAA drew large crowds to Charlotte to party, but few attended the games. We are not like white fans who pack the college stadiums rain or snow with 65K to 110k fans. It was impossible to fill the 17,500 seats in the new Aggie Stadium and when it was expanded to 21,500 it is even worse. Corbett Center has that problem too. People don't have the "got to attend attitude anymore". The attitude is, can take it or leave it.

I think kickoff time played a big role in attendance. Kickoff should never be before 3 for any game before GHOE. We had a deal for youth teams but many are playing during that time. More casual fans will show up for later games.

Just as I am a an official member of the $18.91 giving club, what if we make GA tickets available for the same to all other home games outside of aggie/eagle and GHOE.
It would be super easy to market/advertise and people will always know how much tickets are and subsequently could send some subliminal messages to folks to join the $18.91 giving club as well.
And I mean $18.91 as final price, everything is cashless now so you can't argue "well people don't want change".
Who's in?
