We’ve been getting hype about this kid for the last 6 months, and I haven’t seen any official status from the Program why he's not playing (unless I missed it). Heck, we wouldn’t even know he’s coming off an injury if it wasn’t from his personal Twitter feed!
Keep the fans engaged …..we can do better!

High School level and College level are to different animals. I have seen him play in person. Impressed but not Impressed and I will leave it at that . Should have said something before with all the hype around this dude but preferred to let everyone form their own opinion . |

There’s only 1 person who’s a savior, and that’s Jesus. I don’t want anyone thinking Duncan Powell is gonna come in here and turn our program around180 degrees when he sets foot on the floor. The same thing goes for the UCF transfer. Our collective basketball program has to get better. One player can help, but isn’t the sole answer.

While I agree with you 2 players in basketball can make a difference. 2 players is almost 50% of the players on the floor. It is just easier for 1 or 2 players in basketball to make a very significant impact. |

I suspect he will come back this week and get some Burn during our game against Carver College. Why do you suspect that? There's no indication that either of these guys will ever see the court based on the excellent communication fans have gotten from the program about these kids. It was talked about in the N&R that he would be held out of the November games as a precaution to make sure he's 100% from the knee surgery. The article talked about him suiting up and playing in December (this month). I suspect if Coach Jones is asked in an interview, he'll reiterate this timeline and the timeline puts him on track to at least break a sweat against Carver College. Our UCF Transfer will be eligible to play when the Fall Semester ends. That means he could end up playing against his old team on the 11th. Most likely, he'll first suit up against ETSU on the 14th. Ideally, if both guys are available, we could end up going 1-1 into that stretch before the Hoop Dreams Classic against Howard in Newark. That would lead me to feel very good about our chances in upsetting Winthrop and winning the tourney in Charlotte. |

I think we will do well with Powell and Smith but we have a fan base communicate with them. Does not have to be an exact date when players are eligible but some statement from sports info office would be cool !
