got my moderna booster 2 weeks ago as of this coming monday. i previously had 2 doses of the pfizer vaccine, but because the moderna has proved to be more "durable", i took the moderna booster. only side effect was a sore shoulder for about 1 or 2 days.
just like the 2nd dose, you'll have your maximum antibodies 2 weeks after taking your booster. so i plan to go watch the washington football team play the dallas cowboys tomorrow at a local sports bar since my vaccine protection should be near its maximum level.
however, i will still wear my "mask" and take all of the covid precautions...

I haven't gone to get vaccinated yet. Its been heavy on my mind though. Not sure what I'm going to do, but I want to have it going into 2022 if i'm going to do it. Reading this thread kinda helps me out

You'll be alright. totally agree. and it really feels good knowing that you have a significant level of protection from the virus. even though i still wear my mask when i'm indoors at a public venue, i feel very, very confident that i'm fully protected and that's a great feeling. even in the "very unlikely" event that i get infected, its very assuring to know that its very likely that i won't suffer severe symptoms and won't need to be hospitalized. i didn't resume refereeing basketball again until "after" i got fully vaccinated because being around teenagers was very "risky" since often some of them are "asymptomatic". but now, i have no worries and have been calling games almost every day for the last couple of weeks and yes, i call games with a special referee designed covid mask....
