7 showed no symptoms and the 8th had mild symptoms that only lasted a few days. The vaccine doesn’t stop you from contracting the disease, it reduces your reaction to it. If you are waiting until you can never get sick again before you stop wearing a mask, you’ll always be wearing a mask.

It is just like the annual flu shot...it greatly lessens the severity of it should you contract it.
I have gotten the flu shot 26 of the last 27 years, and I have gotten the flu probably 6 times during that period, but it was always a mild case of it. The year that I missed my flu shot (2002), it tore my a$$ up one January! I never missed it again.
Over 100 million Americans have been COVID vaccinated and slightly less than 6,000 have contracted COVID after getting their shots...and ZERO have died.

I'm fully Vaxed and although the CDC has recommended that we can go without masks now, Im keeping mine on for a while...its supposed to be on an honor system and I cant trust people who put gasoline in plastic garbage bags in their trunks...lol
also I get terrible allergies and sinus issues in the early spring and with masking, i haven't had any of those issues #MaskON

i'm fully vaccinated too with the pfizer vaccine, today is my 14th day since taking my 2nd shot which means i'm now fully protected. but i'm still gonna continue to wear my mask and gloves until "i personally" feel its safe not to. regarding the yankees, my understanding is that all of the yankees you're referring to took the "j&j vaccine" which has a significantly lower efficacy rate compared to the pfizer and moderna vaccines. the pfizer (95% efficacy) and moderna (94% efficacy) vaccines are significantly more effective than the j&j at preventing symptomatic covid infection after two doses. whereas, the j&j efficacy is only about 72% effective at preventing symptomatic covid infection which means you're more likely to contract covid if you've been vaccinated with the j&j vaccine rather than the pfizer or moderna vaccines. however, all 3 vaccines are equally highly effective (100% efficacy) against covid hospitalization or death which is the most important thing. even though the pfizer and moderna vaccines are more effective, i'm still gonna keep wearing my mask/gloves. i'd like to see at least 70% of americans vaccinated and/or new cases/hospitalizations/deaths drop to almost nonexistent numbers before i abandon my masks and gloves...

My 11 year old just got his shot last week at the Alumni Event Center. So now everyone in the household has been vaccinated.

I'm going for my booster tomorrow. If you don't hear from me again its because I decided to mix/match J&J with the Moderna booster.

Got my Moderna vaccine back in March and got the Moderna booster shot two days ago. Didn't go to GHOE this year but I am headed up to Urngeburg Saturday to lay eyes on these Aggies and try to cheer them on to a victory.
