wow! i'm still not eligible here in maryland. you have to be 65 or older in maryland unless you meet certain conditions like being a health care worker, first responder, et cetera. decks, glad you recovered from covid! i just have to be patient until its my turn... Don't wait. Do like I did. My daughter and I went to CVS about an hour before cutoff time. They are not allowed to waste vaccine so if someone doesn't show up for an appointment they'll happily give it to you. On the day we went they had six extra doses so I called my neighbor to bring his family. Other vaccine providers probably have the same policy. geesh, i never thought of that, decks. thanks for the tip but i’m not sure if i can pull that off where i live, the demand here far outweighs the supply by a country mile. so i’m not so sure that i’d be as lucky prematurely getting vaccinated as you were, definitely don’t wanna stand in line several hours for nothing. but i’m pretty sure that i should make the next age cut once they lower the age requirements soon, so i’ll probably wait until its my turn. i’ve been working from home everyday since last year when covid first hit, i hardly go anywhere other than the grocery store and gas station and to take my husky walking. and the rare times that i do leave the house, i take “extra” measures to protect myself by wearing “2” masks (1 n95 mask and 1 surgerical mask), a face sheild, and a pair of vinyl gloves. so i feel pretty safe at home and when i venture out the house, so i don’t mind waiting a couple more weeks to get vaccinated. biden says we should have enough supply to vaccinate all american adults by the 1st of may...

I was surprised that Maryland was still at 65. GA just moved down to 55 this week. The good thing for Maryland is that you have a higher percentage of your population vaccinated than we do.

The good thing for Maryland is that you have a higher percentage of your population vaccinated than we do. i guess every state is different. the federal gov't determines how many doses each state gets, but each state determines who is eligible in their state to receive a vaccination. but it wouldn't surprise me if maryland somehow has a higher percentage of residents that are vaccinated than georgia because maryland has far less rural areas than georgia. though we have a large population, most of our residents are "concentrated" in a smaller geographical area. so our residents are easier to reach...

I used daycare because I do keep the grandchildren on rare occasions no problem yeah, i didn't know that. anyways, i heard on the news this morning that the maryland governor will be lowering the age requirements starting this tuesday and is expected to drop as low as 16 years of age but will happen gradually. tuesday it lowers to 60 and under and the following week they lower it to 55 and under, and so on. so now i suppose i've got to register and find a location near my home...

I know at least two or three people in Maryland that got left over shots. My homegirl (in her 50s) was in CVS (Glen Burnie) one day and by chance asked if there was a signup list for the leftovers. Guess what, there was! As appointments are missed, they go to the list. She was called within a week. Of course you may have to show that day and maybe within the hour. Another CVS story, my friend's son is a teacher (PG) and had a appointment for his shot. After he was vaccinated the pharmacist asked if he knew anybody, they had like 10 doses leftover. Mom and Dad were at the CVS in 10 minutes. These happen about a month ago before J&J was released.

I got mine on Jan 7th and Jan28th (Pfizer).... ...look, it's been 3+ months since the rollout has earnestly begun. I know the high risk population needs this vaccine. Hell, I'm at the point now where if the high riskers haven't gotten them yet, oh well.....it's time to open this thing up. We're still behaving as if everybody is high risk (ie. wearing masks everywhere you go in virtually every type of environment)....so if that's the case, give vaccinations to everyone.
I'll even compromise; wait until March 31st to give "high riskers" every single chance to get their shot first....but come April 1st - OPEN IT UP!!!

I got this via email from the WDC Alumni yesterday. I tried the numbers (after hours), the outgoing messages conflicts with the "any age, any zip code" statement below. However, it's my experience Aggies would have provided and updated response to the email if there had been any issues. LOL!
". . . M&T stadium is scheduling vaccine appts today from 9-4, any age, any zip code. The number to schedule are: (443) 462-5864 or (443) 462-5865."
