OSA, I think you are afraid. Afraid of A&T achieving a level of athletic success that we may not be able to imagine now. Afraid of being uncomfortable in order to be comfortable. Afraid to form new relationships. Afraid to have to change the kind of shat you have to talk to a new set of opponents. Afraid to transform into a HBCU flagship university on the field rather than in the heads of alumni as some other schools do. When the MEAC was formed 50 years ago, the vision was there. Unfortunately, the whole conference is not ready to push sports to the next level. I wish they were. Hell, we're not ready financially but we are ready strategically. That means when the money comes we're ready to move out. Fifty years is a long time to make excuses about anything. It's time the excuses stop. Fear is an understatement. Why people are so afraid of A&T positioning itself to get to FBS, I will not understand. My take is the old statement that we as Black people hate change

The fear is the Sustainability of that Change and as far as your " Black people hate change" quote is concerned . You may want to evaluate your circle of friends . As far as the move to the FBS goes for me it would be , Hating to explain why A&T could not sustain and maintain the infrastructure funding to stay at that level athletically .

My circle of friends love change. It shows growth imo. But the overall collective of Black folks don't. FAMU went FBS and failed and came right back to prepare again for FBS. So again whats the issue?

OK, I'll admit that I don't have a clue if we'll become an FBS. But when I came to A&T, I had no clue we would become a nationally recognize academic institution. Hell I had no clue we would survive efforts to merge us with UNCG!
So, as an old diehard Aggie, I believe A&T can accomplish any goal it sets! I may not be here when it happens but it will happen!

SUSTAINABILITY nothing more nothing less . If the Chancellor and the BOT says we can sustain it , should we not believe them? No 👎 They believed the same thing at WSSU. And we all saw how that would out . I believe no man . I wouldn't go through as they say in Missouri " Show Me " .
