I don’t think NSU will have a good team, people say that every year and it never happens. They need to fire their coach but won’t because they are content and don’t want to spend the money required to be winners. NSU is a basketball school ...but we used to be known mainly as a "basketball school," too. That's why CIAAers were pissed when we (along with Morgan State and NCCU) left to form the MEAC. They said that all of us were basketball schools. But things can evolve.Things can definitely evolve however I have not seen anything from their administration that shows becoming a football power is a priority. I'm just tired of everyone giving Norfolk State props when they havent done anything.

Basically everyone's trying to figure out how the MEAC can keep the CB dominance going without us as a member of the party besides counting on SC Steat to do it.
To be honest, they're the only ones. Everybody else has a ways to go to be on the level of a third of the SWAC once FAMU and Cookman join.

I dunno, we were the only MEAC school to beat the sock and shoes off NSU, FAMU beat them by a FG 31-28, SCSU beat them in OT. A different bounce, a different story. Aren't they a relative young team?

But, wasn't Elon ranked at the time we beat them last season? I know it was the first game in all but, they were ranked weren't they...? Also, I wouldn't diminish our recent success against PWIs because, when you look at the numbers as a whole...HBCUs just have not faired well against PWIs, good or bad! that makes us "hbcu good", not fbs ready. ooops, my bad! i changed topics again. now let's see if i'll need osa3...

I'm just tired of everyone giving Norfolk State props when they havent done anything. We were always known as a Football, basketball and baseball college. Thanksgiving day always decided the CIAA football champs. Due to the large CIAA membership, only the top eight teams qualified for the championship based on the Dickinson Rating System ranking. The usual suspects were always in the top eight. AggieRattler should be aware of the importance of football from his Dad, as well as, basketball and baseball. Over the years, Baseball has lost some of the interest of the students of today.
