And might I say the dog (Chocolate Lab) is wreakin' havoc in my house...chewing, tearing, pottyin', etc. etc. etc. did you bring your dog home as a "puppy"? heck, my dog is definitely a so called "covid dog". had there not been a pandemic, i likely would've never bought him. nonetheless, i brought him (siberian husky) home when he was 8 weeks old. so all he knows other than his natural instincts is what i've taught him. i carefully followed akc instructions on how to house break a dog and it worked perfectly. he never poops or pees in my house, otherwise he'd have to "GO". but chewing? all puppies do that and they eventually grow out of it. meanwhile, i bought my dog a bunch of "chew toys" to mitigate him chewing up my furniture. it helped but didn't completely work. he got a hold of the legs on my kitchen table and chewed the bottom of the legs which ain't very noticeable but it made a brutha mad nonetheless. moral of the story, if you brought you dog home as a very young puppy, they're a lot easier to train than bringing home a full grown adult dog. ever heard the saying, "can't teach an old dog new tricks"? well, that's true if you bring home a full grown adult dog. not so true if you bring home a young pup. to avoid pottyin' in the house, you may want to try to crate train him first. that's what i did and it worked...
