He lost me on that one as well Sixties. That's a wee bit of a stretch. That’s much more than a “wee-bit.” SMH

Morgan has received authorization to explore and pursue an affiliate agreement to build a School of Osteopathic Medicine. That's great. However, are you suggesting that A&T is losing its status as a school of excellence because of grass and Morgan State? Basically I like Morgan's thinking particularly in light of that Drumpt governor who has shafted Morgan and other similarly situated HBCUs in recent lawsuit remedy. In our case we seems to lack the intestinal fortitude to continue on the path of Excellence without apology for fear of rocking the boat. Too many folk do not want to be relevant in this moment of a global awakening but rather maintain a colonial neocolonial mindset that is.

I am watching Clemson and Boston College at Clemson now and Clemson is playing on natural grass. They are very well funded and perfer grass as their playing surface.

Nice optics, but the bar has been elevated with Deon Sanders hiring at Jackson State. We got to up our game even higher. I would suggest that shock waves has been sent through HBCU athletics. Already Jackson State has been sanctioned by the NCAA for violations which precedes Sanders hiring. All eyes will be on Jackson State particularly if the rebirth of Jackson State is successful. The Sonic Boom just received a large donation for the band program. In the words of Archie Bell and the Drells we got to tighten up.

We are an agricultural school and have a farm and a focus on agronomy. It seems we should have some of the best and most innovative grass and grass growing techniques to maintain a a natural or hybrid field.

There is no excuse for the present state of affairs. I remember when S.C. State use to be a model campus in terms of appearance and cleanliness. I can't let go. Because it is unacceptable like the way they did the ticket sales for season holders, knowingly and willfully deceiving folk when they knew there would be no football season. This deception speaks to an ulterior motive which is why the mystique of HBCU is slipping away. We can and should do better and we should both demand and expect better.

You don't have to let it go, but it doesn't make sense to harp on side issue in a thread about grass.
If you have serious legitimate concerns about "the mystique of HBCU (...) slipping away" then you start a thread about it in the proper forum so it can be adequately addressed. Otherwise the general replies will be about the grass or will tell you to let it go. It's like the A&T Four deciding to do the sit-in at the Student Union. Right discussion, wrong location.
The education forum is my suggestion. Start a thread there.

I actually drove up to Greensboro on Saturday. I just had to park & lay eyes on the place. What's going on with the heavy equipment and the grass being dug up on the outside of the stadium (A-3/Sullivan lot)?

Man, you shouldn't have posted that. That's about what the world will see on 2/27 against SCSU. Maybe we shouldn't broadcast the game. LOL!
