Again and I dont always agree with NSS but I am with him on this one.. And I am not dismissing Cy's personal hardships but you cant post a 10 win season and then the very next year struggle to win 5 games....I saw last year as a result of growing pains and Cy's personal losses; but you cant get worse the next year...
NSS has a point.. go back and look at the history after SC State in addition as I posted earlier we won the MEAC tourney two years ago by getting on a hot streak at the end of the season; however, going into the tourney we were barley 500 if that. So I am not seeing the body of work others are referencing...

Interesting thread... I remember how this board was tired of Eaves and his going .500 every yr.

Let's get real. Cy needs to go. Time has passed him by. It is evident he is not relating to the kids. Why waste another year on his contract and be in the whole for another year. This team is not going to be any better next year. A&T can find away to pay him off, they always do. Take heed from NCCU - who's athletic program has surpassed ours. HIRE YOUNGER TALENTED COACHES WHO CAN RELATE TO THE KIDS. ...and can coach!

If you look back, I expressed concern based his recent history at TSU. The academic terms have changed and just like Bill Hayes hadn't adjusted, Cy hasn't either when it comes to talent and teaching. Unfortunately, his approach to building and coaching is going to hurt us in the long run with kids leaving and the ones that already left. Screaming and yelling profanities just don't get it done anymore! We should be seeing progress being made, not a fall off of this proportion.
just a thought!
