Yall cant be serious..First of all, we're 0-12...D3 wins don't count...My son plays d2, and they played 3 d 1 teams and lost and they are not reflected in the record. Second of all, you can't talk sideways...For better or worse, it's all on the coach... Now let's start with these two premises and go from there..
Are we the only team in the history of sports that loses seniors and kids transfer? Never expected us to go undefeated, but is it too much to win 3 or 4 games?

After watching us play a DIII team and struggle to full out a win in the last few second,I don't expect much from this team this year.

Here is the deal if we finish with 5 or less wins this year and dont forget we have no D1 wins yet neither of these DII / DII wins count so we are 0-12. Do you really think next year is going to be a darmatic turnaround??? Maybe we double our win total next year and win 10 games will we say things are looking up and 2016 / 2017 is going to be our year ?

Paraphrase from Coach Bill Parcells - "your win loss record is who you are".
Coach Cy won the MEAC Championship with Eaves players his first year. He failed to parley that success to recruit quality players.
Something is wrong when we can't beat programs like Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State.
I don't think any coach should be rewarded with another chance with a screwed up record. Next years record won't be any better. Maybe 3 to 4 more wins.
Hell, we rewarded Eaves for 9 years with horrible records. Are we gone make that mistake again. I am tired of losing.
We use to be known for basketball. NOT ANYMORE!!!

Yes we won the MEAC Tourney two years ago.....Go back and look at that season I think going into the tourney we had a losing record And we got hot in the tourney. If memeory serves me correctly we finished 4th or 5th in the MEAC that year......

You know things have gotten bad when A&T's Ticket Office calls your home personally to get you to renew in purchasing basketball season tickets.
Our team won 9 games last year and season books were jacked up like we had won the national championship.
Don't mind paying decent price if the product is decent.

Product is not good; I'm not going to another game. Not even for free; really inexcusable. Cy gets this year and if he can't get a winning season next year I'm writing him off.

Based on his body of work so far at A&T, I'd say he hasn't done enough to keep him beyond the end of his contract next year. Let's hope we don't go crazy and just let him hang around for additional years. It took us forever to finally show Eaves the door so I hope we will be more decisive than that. I don't expect our program to be on the level of University of Kentucky but hell, we should be better than DII or DIII programs. Based on the team's performance, we would struggle in the CIAA. Let Cy finish his contract and retire gracefully.

www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/north-carolina-at/Here's our record over the past 44 seasons. We've been over .500 twice in the past 20 seasons. Our overall record over the past 42 seasons is under .500. Over the past 20 seasons we've had six seasons with less than 10 wins. This will be the seventh. We hired Jeff Capel to replace Corbett. He was a great hire (he won at Fayetteville State) but he left after a year for greener pastures. After that we hired a juco coach in Roy Thomas who couldn't get over the hump. After that we hired Curtis Hunter who was already on staff but didn't have a clue how to build a college program with limited resources. After he destroyed the program with our help, we hired Jerry Eaves who also didn't have a clue how to build a college program with limited resources. Now we've hired Cy, who at one point knew how to build a college program with limited resources (SC Steat), but lost something between going to Tennessee State and coming here. My personal opinion (take it for what little it's worth) is that we should be hiring CIAA coaches for basketball, period. It worked with Capel for the short time he was here. Say what you want, the CIAA is a better conference than the MEAC. If we ain't gonna join the CIAA, might as well benefit from their experience.

You cannot go 2-26 and expect to be our head coach the following year......I don't care when his contract is over. A 5-25 record or worse warrants dismissal. Cy's been coaching for over 25 years. He's not new to the game. His coaching experience alone should be enough to get us 7 wins. If he cannot even achieve minimal results with his 25+ years of college experience, that's something we shouldn't tolerate as a program. People are talking about getting rid of him next year......damn that. A year in an athletic program is valuable. Don't waste another 365 days of my life forcing me to accept subaverage basketball. I'm going to go to these games this year at Corbett and elsewhere to cheer on the team.....but make no mistake, if the 2nd half of this year looks as bad as the 1st half, there is no reason Cy and his staff should be retained. We cannot excuse such paltry results.....if you can't even win 5 DI games and you've been involved in coaching DI basketball for over 25 years, do you really believe you deserve to be a head coach?

NSS is correct and it pains me to say this but what other D I program or DII program would keep a Coach that could not reach 20 wins if you combined two seasons together Who

I agree with NSS but financially, eating another fired coach's salary might be a challenge. We've done so much hiring, firing and paying off contracts lately that we could have actually paid big dollars for a really good coach. I hate to say it but financially we may have to suffer through another crappy season with Cy just to save money. Hell maybe if he knew it was his last year, he might actually try to win more than 5 DI games.

D$&@ only over .500 twice. Didn't Roy Thomas get to the NCAA tournament once. Did your analysis include wins over D-3 schools? I know we have beaten Johnson and Wales , Barber Scotia and a few other D-3 schools in recent years
