Save all the personal stuff for the PMs or the private forum and just have it out there. Ya'll do this about every two weeks or so. Come on A1. Tell it like you see it. This guy goes personal with everyone(me more than most). His name was no where near my post, but I somehow took my glove off and smacked him across the face("I challlenge you to a duel") with what I said, LOL. But OK, I'll try not to respond to personal attacks from now on. Back to topic. Glad to see the defense showing out.

oh he's hating on kindle alright. he's hating on him because i praised kindle's high school video a couple of years ago and predicted that he'd break every a&t passing record on the books. and indeed kindle is on that pace. but my boy monster wants to discredit my prediction. that's why he hates on kindle. notice monster's comment regarding folk deeming kindle a savior? that's actually monster taking a shot at me because i'm the one who has praised kindle from the jump and still do. if kindle were to pass for over 3,000 yards this year and earn fcs all american honors, monster would still find something to criticize. he'd say something like, "well, kindle didn't win the heisman trophy..." Get over yourself dude. I dont think about you when I comment on something. I said I like the kid, what you want me to do? Kiss his azz or something? My opinion is coming from a strictly non-biased observation. He threw 4 interceptions in practice. He still needs work and our defense is helping him get better. That's all I meant. Stop throwing your personal grudges into what I said. If you call what I said "hate" then so be it. It still "is what it is". He still threw 4 ints, but looked good at other times. That's having a lot of work to do, but better than the past in my book. Our other QBs in the past would have just thrown 4 ints with 0-1 TDs, so he's a step up definitely. Like A1 said. He wont be winning games alone this year anyway. Our running game is tops in the conference and so is our defense. He has the perfect situation to succeed this year. Your problem is once you say you like a player he can do no wrong. All players need to improve in something or they wouldn't be at an FCS school. Just cause I say what he needs to improve on doesn't mean I'm hating. Your just a pacifier of favorites. Took you 5 years to take back that you thought Eaves was a good coach cause you just couldn't go against what you initially said. calm down, dude. it ain't that serious. you know i always mess with you...

If we beat Coastal, 11-0 will be in reach.

We will beat Coastal by 3 scores if we get the Honey-badger....naw let me stop, just jokes. But, a victory over Coastal will spring board us a good ways in the season. But we still have to be careful, we have a very talented and loaded BCU squad waiting on us the first weekend in Oct. And if happens to be their Homecoming.

I like our chances against Coastal. With that being said I dont think they are that good. Unless we blow them out I wont get to excited about beating them. I'll relish the victory, but keep it in perspective. They had a losing conference record last season under what I thought was a better coach than what they currently have. A good team should beat them by at least 21. Not saying we will win by more than 21, but if we are good then we will. I dont think a new head coach going against Broadway in week 1 is a fair matchup. We have the advantage there.

why folk don't think practice reductions won't hurt early in the season is beyond me. ccu "handled" us pretty good last year beating us at home 31-14 and they have zero practice restrictions. plus, they're picked to finish 3rd in the big south while we've been picked to finish 6th in the meac. i honestly think we're gonna have our hands full against ccu. but if we beat ccu, it'll be huge to our program because we'll likely beat both vul and wvsu and will then go into our meac schedule with a 3-0 record...

I agree. The Coastal game I saw last year was not as close as the actual final score. We showed heart and got back into it, but they were clearly the better team up and down. I do expect the game to be alot closer and we may have a slight chance to win, but if we do it's an upset.

Practice restrictions hurt only if you stick to them. Now closing mouth......
I think we were a bad team at the beginning of last season. We got way better, but when Coastal came to town we were still bad. Our corners were still learning how to really play corner. This year they have what I consider a terrible coach. I think we will beat the brakes off them. The Big South is definitely not the SOCON. Picked to finish 3rd there isn't a huge deal. 3rd in the Big South wont get you to the playoffs. If we dont beat these guys be ready for a long season.

Now closing mouth...... that's a good point, monster. i've been trying to find out how colleges account for their practice time to the ncaa because it sure does seem difficult to me for the ncaa to know exactly how long a team practices. i mean, i'm having a hard time understanding how the ncaa enforces practice time restrictions...

I'm with Broadway. We need to continue to get better because we will not be able to sneak up on folks in the MEAC this year. They know the DNA of "Funky B".
We are most definitely a better team than last year on paper without a doubt. Let's see how it goes. Out of the first 3 games....2 are cream puffs.
I am optimistic but there are other variables to consider (injuries, etc.)

I think it will be a close hard fought game for it to be the first game of the season. If we win, it can and will boost confidence. If we lose...it could have a lingering affect the following week. Which means, they'll start slow against VUL and then beat the brakes off of them in the quarters 2-4. But, I really see it as win-win in our case.

It's up to the Compliance Officers to report all Practice times and dates to the NCAA They are under the Honor System So it's left up to the school to report all practice activity

11-0 that's unrealistic. Small steps remember 2007-2010 seasons. Time heals all wounds!
