I agree with the Professor. When we go to Elon's stadium to play our fans fill up the whole visiting side. We cater to their concession stands in force and we even pay money to tailgate in their parking lots. When it is their turn to come to our stadium we do not receive the same courtesy. They have less than 1000 fans on their side of the field and they very seldom purchase food from our concessions. I have never seen any of them tailgate at our stadium or parking lots. Why should they make all of the money off of us and they don't return the favor. Coastal Carolina is the same way. I would drop Coastal after next year and I would never play Elon again.

ROFL, man that is probably the most uneducated statement I've read on this board in a while. Who would you replace them with then? NO ONE is coming to aggie stadium and doing what you just mentioned accept NCCU or WSSU. Again, your worried about what the other school gets out of it instead of looking out for your self. You would never make it in the wholesale business, LOL. You would be to worried about how much money people are making using your product as part of their own. This is you, "Man I know you selling those cakes $100. Thats a lot of money. My flour aint but $3. That aint fair. I think I need a cut of your $100". Just ridiculous. It aint other schools fault that our fans travel. What you going to say to schools from now on. "If you cant guarantee that at least 3000 of your fans will come to Aggie Stadium we cant do this home and home deal." Thats crazy! I dont think some of yall say this stuff out loud before typing it. you might not type it after that. wait wait wait....I got another one. You:"how much you sell your cakes for?" customer:"why?" You:"If you sell your cakes for over $30 I have to charge you $5/lb for flour" customer:"But your price says $3/lb?" You:"Yeah, buy you make more money than some of our customer cause you pick yours up. We charge them shipping" customer:"So because I'm close and save money on shipping you feel disrespected and want to charge me more?" You:"Yep, and you sell your cakes for more than other customer, so your really taking advantage of our pricing" customer:"why does what I sell my cakes for matter" You:"Cause I'm really just a hater!" Customer:"I see" - and walks out never to return. That same kind of thinking is what got the Aggie/Eagle cancelled for a couple of years.

I say lets set up games with Jackson State; by the way what were the attendance numbers when Jackson came to Greensboro?

I agree with you Aggie Monster!
It's like you're penalizing others because Aggies travel to support their team. The most important thing for our program is to Win! When you win, people will come out. This year at the App St. game, I had a conversation with one of their assistant baseball coaches. He side when he first arrived at App in 2001, they only had about 6K people coming out to the games. Look where they are now! You compete and win, people will come! People want to be associated with winners...
Just Win Baby!

In Lee's first year as head coach we led BCF in attendance with an average of around 17,500 if I'm not mistaken. Of course the schedule was set up perfectly with WSSU as the first home game and homecoming as the last home game. If we're not going to add WSSU back to the schedule then we need to consider Elon again. 18,000 avg. is attainable but it would be hard to do with more than 5 home games.

JSU would be good, but look at the money we would shell out, Travel, Hotel, Food. It would be a good rivalry but I would the revenue generated be beneficial or would we just spend it all when we go to them? as for preference of firing Phil before Eaves there is no question that a loosing coach should be canned before a ineffective marketing/sponsorship head. Eaves doesn't do anything magical in finding money games. A new face as HC would probably bring in just as much or if not more revenue for basketball.

aggiebred09 beat me to it. Part of my case for playing Elon and/or someone else in NC/SC is the money we save on travel when we go to them.

Yep, how the schedule is laid plays a huge part. The times of the games as well. I think we had 3 evening games that year also.

We should not expect our opponent to help fill up our stadium. That's our job. I want to see Aggie Stadium filled with Aggies!! I totally agree, the entire stadium should be filled with blue and gold...and EVERY side should be the "Home" Side. that is the change in culture that we need and that's where it should begin. I mean if you look at some of the seating charts for some of the other schools (PWCs) like ODU, App State, etc... they might have one tiny section usually in a corner or in the endzone that is "visitor" seating. THAT my friends is what Aggie Stadium should be like... In fact, i'm gonna go as far as to no longer use the phrases "home" and "Visitor" side when referring to Aggie Stadium in 2012. That's gonna be my contribution in helping to change the culture of A&T Athletics.

AggieBlues makes a good point. I think we should worry about putting our fans in our seats. That could also entice our competition to show out in larger numbers. If they know A&T is known for packing the visitors side it would be a bigger reason for them to get their fans to support away games.
BTW: Where is Keith McKluney?(sp) is he still at Miami?
