I would have to give an overall grade of "B" . A record of 5-6 usually gets a "C" grade but I think we overachieved in a lot of aspects. We won four conference games, one being "BCU" a top tier team, we won "HOMECOMING", something we hadn't done in years. We were undefeated in conference play at home, something to build on. I honestly think we are a year ahead of schedule , don't expect "Broadway" to admit as much . I'm looking forward to nothing but good things happening once he gets a chance to recruit and get the "APR" issues resolved. When I heard Mayhew was coming back for one more year , I got a "Woody" . A-G-G-I-E P-R-I-D-E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll give us a B+ for the season. Under sized, under manned and a few Miss-Q here and their on some plays we would have been the MEAC champions so you can't ask for anything more. Also being a young team that has room to improve this coming season we should be in the hunt again in 2012. Broadway should get the Coach of the year hands down. We should have no less then 2 All MEAC first team, Mayhew, Miles and maybe 1 are two on the second team. With hope we can reload and pick up where we left off. AGGIE'S ROLLING.

in my opinion, this coaching staff gets a straight up "a" for this season. we had the toughest meac schedule in the conference this year and came within a touchdown and a conversion of winning every meac game we played.
unlike previous years, no hbcu team blew us out, period. sometimes ya have to look beyond the total wins and losses and look at how the team performed on the field given the disadvantages we had.
imo, absolutely this season was a success! we saw quality football all season long, even against app state if ya consider our lack of schollies. i just hope we can get our apr act together and bring in a recruiting class (including transfers) that can give us the depth we need to close out games.
outstanding job, coach broadway!! we won the 2 most important games of the season (ghoe and nccu) and we were meac championship relative 9 weeks into the season. all i can ask is that we continue to progress and don't take any steps backwards...

I agree. The better recruits will come and the team will become more consistent. We MUST be better disciplined! The outcomes against Howard & SC State possibly could have been different had we not committed so many penalties - bad officiating crew notwithstanding.
With the large crowd this past Saturday, we ended up averaging 13,917 fans this season. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about next season. Mayhew & Kindle returning along with hopefully a deeper Blue Death Defense, a completed press box, fewer misconceptions about the Game Zone, home games against FAMU & SC State and, crossing my fingers, a home game against WSSU.
It's difficult for me to grade this season until I see how well (or not so well) we fare next season. To me, this season was not a fluke. But the proof is in the pudding.
Go Aggies!

I think Miles, Mayhew , and Grant should get MEAC first team honors.

I can see Mayhew & Miles on the first team. Grant should be on the first team D, But personally I don't think the MEAC will do the right thing and put Grant on the first team D because of the way they were pushing the other LB's at some of the other schools.

Mayhew and Miles will definitely be on the first team ballot respectively by leading the conference in rushing and receiving.. As for Grant I'm not sure if he will be All-Conference this year due to all the others Lbs that finished ahead of him in tackles. He finished 10th in tackles in the conference so he just may end up on the 2nd team ballot with a preseason 1st team all-conference to come. We will see! As for the defensive all-conference ballots I believe Ferrell will be first team all-conferemce performer. For one, coaches in the league know what type of player he is and respects him. Also he had a very good year being matched up with opponents best receivers. I believe he had 4 ints with about 13 pbus, and 40+ tackles. To sum this up, I also believe we will have a first team and a second performer on the OL. Walker and Harper both had decent years and there is no way a team can have a 1000 yard receiver and running back, and also a 2000 yard passing QB and their OL due not receive any credit. Again we will see when the teams are released in the next couple of days.

Well, I will say this...and I mean no disrespect to any of the current players on the team. But, if you have butterfingers when the ball comes your way...you better believe in the coming years Broadway is going to have someone out on the field who can hold onto it when it comes their way. Just mark my word. I know I thought to myself, "man, what are we gonna do next year when Miles is gone?" But, looking back on Broadway's history, he's gonna get somebody that can catch that ball. So, my advice to the younger receivers on the team, work on your hands in the offseason...that's all. Next year, the conversations about why he won't play this or that guy will be null and void. That's what I'm talking about! You and oleschoolaggie seem to be the only ones to understand that. Receivers have got to catch the ball! And fight for it...............

raper's potential game winning drop against norfolk was completely inexcusable. ya can't throw a better pass than that, it hit him right in the numbers at the goal line. the only thing stopping raper from catching that pass was himself and i'm sure he knows that. he heard footsteps, that's the only reason he dropped that pass. and that's not the only drop raper has had. why would anybody trust him to make a key catch down the stretch when he let a "game winner" go right through his hands? i can understand folk saying spread the ball around, but when you put your total confidence in a receiver and he drops a perfectly catchable pass, you don't wanna risk another game that way. yet, miles will "aggressively" go after the ball when its thrown his way and he's not afraid of contact. again, i think it comes down to "reliability". when a qb passes the ball, he wants to target someone who will make all the easy catches and also most of the difficult catches too. i'm glad somebody sees it for what it is.....................

Go Aggies! i agree this season wasn't a fluke. none of our conference losses were by more than a touchdown and a conversion. none! not even against the top teams. none! oh, that's not a fluke alright. if it was a fluke, we would've seen major breakdowns against nsu, famu, and scsu because by that time, no one was taking us lightly anymore. i'm extremely optimistic about next season because we only lose a hand full of major contributors and coach broadway will add some quality prospects to our roster. don't know how many, but if we can win 5 games this year, go .500 in the conference, no meac losses exceeding 8 points and 3 of our 4 meac losses went down to the last series "all on the road", then darn right i'm optimistic...

I agree The OSA: A&T has limitless Possibilities for the up coming season. Most of all we have the RESPECT back that had been lost for so long. Like you I am EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC a bout the in coming class/transfers and returning players. No longer well A&T be a homecoming team that everyone looks forward to playing. Broadway will retool and we will be in the HUNT again. Kindle has a full year as an starter so his play should be a lot better and with Mayhew coming back, lewis,T.W. ,Grant and Drake and most of the (D & O line & seconder ) back their is no reason not to be Optimistic about 2012. WE WENT FROM 0 TO HERO'S in my eyes . As I have always said "A&T WILL BE JUST FINE" ROLL ON AGGIE'S ROLL ON"
