We have some really big people along that OL, at LB, and at the receiver spots. The DL isn't nearly as small as folks thought we would be. They aren't towering but they have decent enough size for us to compete.

Kev,
Excellent Pictures. Did they pass out a team roster during Fan Fest so we can know who some of these guys are.

Fan Fest is next weekend (Saturday). Friday was just Picture Day. I understand the public will get a roster when some pending paperwork on some of the newest guys is completed this week.
A word about the defensive line. We did get two DTs in Freddie Mungo (6-2, 270, Trn.-Jr.) from Charlotte Independence and Brian Leak (6-4,290, Fr.) from Lexington and three key red shirts who returned are DEs Brandon Young (6-4,250, R-Jr) from Louisville, KY; Dan McNeil (6-3,247, R-Fr)from Jamestown Ragsdale, and DT Eric Baldwin (6-3,260, R-Fr.) from Western Guilford.
They will be green but they are athletic enough to give the starting front four some breathers. It's on the LBs and the DBs to be the early season keys for us until these new kids up front get some experience. They are our strength.
Offensively, we are in pretty good shape with our first two units. There is the question to settle on a consistent number two guy behind Kindle at QB. The backs, WR, and O-Line are both sound and deep. We don't have any kind of size or speed problem anywhere on offense.
The kicking game is shaping very nicely indeed. If we can survive September without a bunch of injuries and split the first four games, we have a decent shot at just under or slighter over .500 this season.

Thanks for the information, A1, particularly, the player info. I'm getting real excited about Aggie football, can't wait for the first game.

A1 what's the names of the backups at QB? Last Thursday I saw two guys besides Ricky, one guys was working out and the other guy was not dress but was at the drills.

Mungo was around 215 when he played at Indy so he must have gained a lot of weight? Also, isn't he transferring in from Campbell? If so, he'll have to sit out a year.

Mungo has put on some weight since high school and he left Campbell in 2009 and sat out last year. He suited up and participated in the spring game.

He played mostly DE in high school. I'm of the belief that we don't have to have mammoth tackles to control the run. Speed and quickness on the front line along with good lb support can get the job done.

He redshirted in 2008, Did not get to play much in 2009 as a frosh backup DT, then he transferred. He has three years of eligiblity left because Campbell was D-2 when he signed so the move up didn't hurt his eligibilty time and he got out before they moved up in 2010. He's listed as a sophomore for us this fall.
