i think folks expectations are so high because our ad proclaimed that the pressbox would be ready by the beginning of the 2011 football season. i think had he not made that statement, folk would be a whole lot more patient.
personally, i'd be satisfied if they finish it by the time we host our first 2012 track meet. there's no need to use it before then. and had our ad not raised our expectations with a nearly impossible initial completion date, i'd be satisfied if they finished it before the 2012 football season begins...

Can't blame Hilton for this. He can only go off of what's agreed upon by the school and the contractor. Good move by Martin to terminate Kenbridges contract. One way or the other I suspect we'll be seeing them in court.

I just wonder how much longer it will take to complete? Now we will have to negotiate another contract (two months); then figure out where the last group left off (one month) for completion by Aug. It should be ready for the first game; I'll keep my fingers crossed. Really discusted with this project!

Heard it through the "Grapevine" ... Chancellor Martin fired the construction company. Is there a reason there isn't a press release or information forthcoming from somewhere

Latest update 1/16 There was one vehicle belonging to Kenbridge in the lot , along with a skeleton crew. They are working but it seems like they are moving at a snails pace. imageshack.us/g/440/dscn1226fz.jpg/

That's great Martin told them to take a walk......this whole thing has been a comedy of errors.
We not talking bout Taj Mahal....we talking bout a press box!!!!

They probably lost so much money on missed deadlines that they stop caring about the project altogether. GOOD MOVE BY DR. MARTIN!
We had a project just like this go bad here at FAMU. The contractor was fired, a new contractor was awarded the project, they completed it...and life was good.

They were out there working yesterday. They had the same number of cars and trucks out there on the construction site as they normally have. If they fired the contractors they must have hired someone else really quick.

It appears the rumor about Kenbridge being fired is not true, as Bigboy stated he is out there almost every day. I go by maybe two or three times a week, there is somebody working whenever I go by. Please take note of the vehicle belonging to Kenbridge in my pics taken on Monday 1-16-12. The bulk of the workers are inside , behind the plastic .

I wish someone in athletics would tell their fan base what's going on.
