Really, have any of you AGGIES contacted the athletic departmen, sports relations, or the coaching staff by e-mail, phone, letter, about the lack of information??? You can accomplish much more by going to the Head Niiiii's In Charge with these concerns. Or do we just talk about them amongst ourselves. When we don't make our voices heard to the ones involved to we really help matters?? I ain't scarrrred!!! I learned a long time ago---A closed mouth don't get fed!!!

Buster Cooper and the starting TE, don't remember his name were both out there but not participating in practice. They both are supposely kicked off of the team. I was told that Broadway had actually put Lewis Kindle off the team but he had a meeting with Kindle's father and he decided to let him back on the team with the understanding that he will get his act together. Based on this information and other things the coaching staff are doing- I'm looking forward to seeing a new level of discipline out of the players. I look for the team to not only be discipline but also be mentally tough. Risco

Something as simple as what AOne and Bigboy just said could have been put on the athletic website and tweeted/facebooked out to everyone. A&T's opening practice is slated for a 4 p.m. start on Tuesday inside Aggie Stadium.......blah, blah, blah. Thats all we are asking for. Maybe the new hire will fix that. I hope. We make stuff hard. The last football thing on our website is "Broadway hired as coach". The least that could have been done was put it in the upcoming events box on the football page. Right now, it's blank. Lack of transparency. We didn't get an announcement that the head football coach was fired. We didn't get anything stating "we are looking at candidates for the head football coach." We only got something when they were ready to give us something. Why change now? This is a culture at A&T. I tired of contacting folks to try to get it changed a very long time ago. Everybody I talked to that tried to do something about it was FIRED. What does that tell you? A total lack of transparency = a total lack of information.

I know it's disappointing with how our school does it's business but we have to continue to hold them accountable by voicing our concerns directly to them on a consistent basis. Will it make a difference?? I am not totally convinced because of our notorious recent history! But I do know that pressure will break down a lot of obstacles!! Everybody should let them know how you feel, that is the only way we can make positive change!!!!

maybe thrilla should create a new forum designed to direct comments toward our administration, good or bad. shoot, why not? we've got a "firing squad" forum, so why not a forum directed toward the folk at the top? the "root" cause of our overall athletic department woes begin with the folk in charge.
over the years, our athletic department stinks because the folk at the top has done a horrible job managing it...

How can you get excited about a football program that is few years away from "Prime Time" or should I say TV1/BET Prime Time?
Broadway has his work cut out for him.....and his staff.

O'lschool,
The sad thing is that the administrators hasn't had the necessary resources and support to manage. As I've stated before, and when I look at the athletic budgets around the conference, the schools that are dominating are the ones with the higher budgets. We'll win when we decided to commit financially to the program.

Getting back to the topic, Justin Ferrell DB practiced yesterday with the team. I'm assuming he must have gotten his legal situation straight. Mayhew was out their. He did not practice but he had on his football warmup and he was out on the field with the RB,s and the RB coach while they did all the drills. I assume they are holding him out due to the injury he sustained last season. I was told that Q. Long DB was put off the team for missing meeting. I was also told that Q. Long was given a chance to get back on the team if he came to the coach and pleaded his case but he refused to do that. I was also told that currently no one on the team is on scholarship and that they all have to prove themselves and earn their scholarships back. If this is the case it should make spring ball very interesting.

I see D-1 transfers in the offing later this spring and early summer. This guy is not going to stay pat and just play the hand that has dealt to him. Sending a half dozen home early will open those spots up for new personnel who put the team first instead of themselves.
Actually its about time everyone start to pull their weight if they are going to play. He's treating this like a pro camp. You perform then you make the cut, you don't you won't be asked back.
Step up or step off.

Finally, a real coach. No reason it should not have already been this way.

Somebody, please tell Mayhew to talk with his homeboy, Quay Long, and get him straight. Quay is much too young and too good to waist his talent away due to some foolessness. The coach is not hurt by this, Quay is; and Quay needs to understand that with his level of talent, he should be asking the coach to help him push for a roll in the NFL instead of acting like a child because he missed a meeting. That's sounds like a case of emotional ignorance or stated another way, it's absolutely stupid.

To read this is amazing about Q. Long. The average Joe would think by reading this, is we have a winning program and the players are gonna initiate the coach on some level. But to know that we are NOT a winning program and are the exact opposite of that makes me wonder, what makes this kid think he is bigger than the program, coach and team??? The ole attitude as they need me, I don't need them. Hell, if those guys were that good, we wouldn't be discussing a new coach. Truly amazing!!! I'm just in awe...there's no word to describe my feeling on this issue. I'm sure this behavior has gone on for years...
