Methinks the students not student-athletes comment was made with a twinge of sardonic sarcasm.
Don't bring up graduation and A&T in the same sentence.

I may be late on this..but why did the LB from Ole Miss get kicked off the team and is the board going to block this as they did Larry Harrison at the last minute last yr, especially with all the negative press we've received lately...

I don't think Big Rob is a sexual deviant like Harrison was convicted of being.

I don't remember Ivan ever getting a chance, he might be a scrub a$$ player but he's a helluva editor, he did the intro for the Aggie Sports pilot in no time, so he made the best of his time here

How could I forget about those two?
Oh yeah, the fullbacks from NC State and ECU worked out. Ramando North did alright. Great at kick returns, not so hot at receiving. But then none of these guys were big names.

Steve Shipp...donald willis( G)..Hollingsworth signed but did not enroll at Clemson...Williams (rb -unc and hs aa) was not a good player, Stilth (sp ot from e michigan),'Madkins qb another AA, Jamal Jones, Horton db, North wr, Harris qb ( never played). Is it really necessary to examine the backgroud of Russell on this board? Let the kid start fresh.

Willis worked out pretty well for the one year he was with us. I thought Hollingsworth was already taking classes at Clemson and then just showed up at the end of the first week of class in Greensboro.
I forgot about Milton Shaw. He was another one that was gonna come in and destroy the meac.

krazykev ... the kid's name is Travis Jones, a DE from Wake Forest-Roseville, and no, recruiting is not over yet. four more addititions will be here by the second session, assuming there are no hitches in the transfer process.
Dispel this rumor.........As far as Robert Russell is concerned , he passed Hackney's transfer rules with no problem at all, has no ciminal cases past or pending. He is a true blue chip linebacker who will most likley star here.
Only one player at Ole Miss was dismissed last year for off field problems and he was a senior and is now a free agent in the NFL.
To be fair to the the kids, the Ole Miss coach is a consumate jackass according to the press and their fan boards who has had some 11.... count'em... 11 players (6 starters) walk since the end of last season including his quarterback.

Thanks Aggie One, for clearing that up. With all the negative about our football team, we definitely don't need any rumors to top it off.

YO, YO, YO!! stop the presses. Please clarify my good friend, FOUR MORE TRANSFERS or these four will be in the second session. If four new names, Fobbs and company are working it on down the line. I'm sure you will share the skinny when appropriate, right?

That doesn't surprise me at all. These cats went 0-11 last year and didn't even bother to put up much of a fight. Say what you will about lack of experience on the coaching staff but an idiot can coax a close game out of talent. So clearly we also didn't have the talent to compete.
These coaches might lack experience but they have pride. I would expect them to beat the bushes into the season to make sure they get some wins sooner rather than later. They seem to have developed a pipeline to anywhere south of Greensboro and they are going to milk that cow until the udder bursts.
An extra 20 grand shouldn't hurt them in that regard.
