also did you know that billingsley and johnson had to go to virginia tech to test which both of them ran good times billingsley ran two 4.4's and johnson ran a 4.5' but you would believe a person that only knew them for a limited time that they were slow and could not run hell if i was on this coaching staff i would say that we had no one that could run and play football too after going 0-11 but my question is why didnt these players have a chance to run on thier on schools pro timing day maybe b/c they knew they could run and people would start to ask why did not perform that well

kawasaki, I think you'd be hard pressed to find many posters on this board that blame the players for anything. Cats were played so far out of position last year they had a better chance of impregnating a male goat than making a play.
That being said if WillBill ran a 4.3 I run a 4.46. If you can run a true 4.4 and can halfway play the game you will be on an NFL roster. That's been proven time and time again.
In my opinion our alma mater has done a tremendous disservice to the athletic careers of these kids over the last few years. I just hope this current crop are the martyrs that gave their careers so that those behind them have a better chance to excel. More importantly, I hope them boys graduate and become leaders in society.

This is a very interesting discussion about the speed of WillBill (is he still on the roster), but I was wondering, what's the status of our off-season conditioning program, in terms of participants and structure? When does the second session begin?

He is no longer on the roster. Nor did he run the times stated in this post (unless the private workouts improved his speed that much. he was a 4.5 kid) As for the next summer school session, it starts about 10 days from now. Don't know how many players will be in it. There has been around 30 players working out right now. The coaches are running things right now because the s&c coach has not arrived yet.

4xlaggie why is it so hard to believe that billingsley ran that time This is my last post on this subject. I said that because he is a career 4.5 guy. Now maybe he ran those times that you are saying. What I am saying is that while he was a player at A&T, he was a 4.5 guy. I have seen the numbers...

Yokohoma, It's hard to believe because it didn't happen. Of course I'm sure it did happen at A&T with a 40mph wind at his back! It's ridiculous to use anybody's time with a 40 mph wind blowing them forward. My granny could run a 4.3 with a 40 mph wind blowing behind her and she's been dead for 15 years!!! I'd be surprised if he was even a 4.5. He was a solid lower division I player that got screwed by his coach. End of story. As for proving he ran these subatomic speeds seeing as nobody is willing to buy your claim the burden of proof is actually on you to prove it, not us to disprove it. WillBill's baby mama don't believe he's that fast. Prove it, we'll be waiting... As for the people that are still on the team I'm glad somebody's working with them.

Ask around for those that were there that day I was anybody that is a member of the team will tell what they saw ask the coaching staff (but you might not get the REAL answer b/c they are somewhat the reason why he fell through the cracks) and go visit him at Sports Performance where he trains now.

Origami, nobody on the planet earth can run a 4.3 into a 40mph wind. It is humanly impossible. You have no credibility making a statement like that.
