According to Thrilla's good friend Keith McCluney, Connell Maynor will be the next HC for NC A&T. This should also mean that Bill Hayes will be the next AD.

No more coordinators or position coaches please! Let's hire a head coach with a proven track record. We'll probably have to hire a div. II coach given our financial situation.

Well it didn't take night vision Goggles to see that train coming thru the tunnel......It's bad that it had to happen the way it did. I know Coach Lee personally and there couldn't be a more spiritual person for these kids...and that's what alot of them need. I have a relative on the team of which I have seen a complete 180 degree turn around in many ways from this kid. So bad mouthing him from some of the nay sayers doesn't hold water in tub because the man is down to earth and well grounded. You can't dictate initiative tho... Sometimes kids need motivation and self determination to build the chemistry needed to maintain a working machine... I don't think this was the focus. Discipline is the word most needed here... I'll stop here.

Coach Lee was a great man and a good football coach. I firmly believe he would have been successful here if given the time and more help from the administration.
Regardless, it is the epitome of bush league to fire the man four days after Thanksgiving and two weeks after he buried his brother. That's the kind of bad karma that got of in this mess we are currently in.
Thus far Chancellor Martin has shown a wonderful ability to fire someone ... a feat so complicated you could train a monkey to do it. He has yet to display an ability to make an excellent hire.
Plus if you are gonna have the gall to fire a stand-up guy like Lee, at least have the balls to hold a press conference and explain your decision.

Thrilla I disagree when is it ever a good time to fire a coach. If Martin had fired him next week someone would still have a issue with that. We don't need a administrator we need a Head football coach that can win games. Sorry I think Chen-berry is a awful offensive coordinator and we need a new change.

Wow! Help me understand, It is said that, the reason for the release of Coach Lee is because A&T Football is headed in new a direction. First, the program Coach Lee inherited was no three time reining MEAC Champions. Hell, Steve Spurrior's gamecocks was everybodies homecoming, in his first few years there. So, could somebody please inform me of this direction, because from my view, A&T has been there, done it and seem like thier doing it again. Is changing the head coach really going to make a difference, or a recuriting D1 caliber linemen, offensively & defensively. Don't get me wrong there was a lot of room for improvement, but the head coaching job was not one. Hell somebody needs to check Martins heart.

Maybe he was asked to get rid of some of his coaches and refused because of the nice person that he is.

If a good person like Lee loses his job there will always be speculation. But at the end of the day my perception is that Coach Lee is a def coord. He is not a CEO/ Head Coach. If you lead and organization you have to have vision and be able to execute that plan.
I think we will get right with this hire.

I know someone that has worked with Martin. They said that he hates excuses and will not tolerate them. He is well known for clearing house when it needs to be done.
I liked coach Lee also, but I dont think he had the heart of a head coach.

Thrilla you are right in that there is a right and a wrong way to do everything. I don't feel that it was done the right way!
