Coach Lee and his entire coaching staff gets the game ball from me for having this team prepared, in tip top shape, and our lines were totally dominating down in the trenches.
Getting that first one was a big one so now its on to NSU and get that first real "W" in the MEAC.

I think we witnessed the benefit of having more players stay over for summer workouts.

i stated before the season started that the wssu game would be "critical" for us, and it was. because of our recent past, had we loss that game, our guys may have questioned whether all that hard work was worth it. lose the wssu game and you start getting that "here we go again" feeling. and then the coach's words start to become less credible. like coach lee said in thrilla's interview, he needed a "payday" to reward the guys for the hard work they put in. and dammit, we got it! what a big relief!
to me, the win against wssu is larger than just a win against an arch rival! it's a validation to the team that they can believe in their coach! not that they didn't believe in him before the game, but now they've got something to show for it. now they can fully embrace coach lee's demand for hard work. in fact, they may even work harder since they've now had a taste of success.
i still think we'll have a good shot at beating nsu this weekend. but if we don't, it won't be the end of the world like it may have been if we'd loss to wssu. with the wssu win, we can psychologically survive a loss to nsu as long as we play well. but i don't think our guys are feeling that they're gonna lose to nsu and me neither. we'll see, but i'm looking for an aggie victory this saturday against nsu.
not getting ahead of myself, but if we do beat nsu, suddenly hampton doesn't look very insurmountable anymore based on their performance against nccu this past weekend. i think we may have a legitimate chance of going into the coastal carolina game undefeated...

Ditto. We have ALL the tools to make a lot of NOISE as long as the injury bug does not hit us too bad this season.

This was the same talk last year after we beat Johnson C Smith lmao. WSSU is garbage, they prolly wont win a game this season. Honestly, I wasnt that impressed. I say we win 3 games this year....4 at the most. Mark my words.

I say we win 3 games this year....4 at the most. Mark my words. i wholeheartedly disagree and i've supported my position based on about 10 or so "legitimate" reasons that i've previously posted on this site. i'd list them again but i just don't have the time to type it out. everyone is entitled to their opinion, but i just want to know what rationale are you basing your prediction on? other than our uniforms, i'd like to know what you see in this year's team that remotely resembles last year's team, because the differences to me are like night and day...

Come on Flash....if the game against WSSU is any indication of what the future holds, then it definitely looks bright. So why rain on the parade?? I understand not being overly optimistic but, what is your angle here??

I think it will take a win over a team with a winning record to finally convince people that we are on the right track. The only wins we have in the past 3 years have been over some horrible teams with horrible records.
That being said, Im excited about this team, and cant wait to see how they respond to tougher tests in the coming weeks.
