I justed want to bring this topic up since everyone is praising Coach Broadway and his staff as the miracle worker just like we did with Coach Lee. Time will tell but Coach Broadway is off to a good start

i'm not gonna hate on coach lee. even though i didn't advocate him being hired in the first place, i still liked the guy. how can ya not like coach lee?
and let's not forget, he didn't have the luxury of having a true qb on his roster last year. we very likely would've beaten wssu, nccu, and probably dsu had we had one. but that's not to take anything away from the job coach broadway and staff has done so far. i think our guys will continue to improve as the season goes along...

You right OldschoolAggie but you cannot justify how well our defense played with block kicks and sacks that had nothing to do with Kindle. I was more disappointed with our defense last year since Lee suppose to be a outstanding Defensive expert. And not to mention the players giving up. Broadway is not going to allow you give up or you maybe off the team he expects higher standards. I see how he go after those player that don't perform or make mistakes.

It all starts with discipline...our team is more disciplined than I've ever seen them. They hustle on and off the field, no delay of game penalties because coaches can't get the play in (ie. see NCCU game last year) and they are now beginning to build true confidence....not that false confidence that was being pitched around before.

Also OldschoolAggie was Lee under the 30 scholarship penalty? i dunno know. but clearly there's no comparison between broadway and coach lee in terms of head coaching ability. i mean, just looking at penalties, turnovers, and lack of discipline from last year alone clearly separates the two in that regard. and your point is well taken in terms of our defense last year, we look far better this year, especially against the run. we were so awful, we couldn't even stop a "snotty nose" from running last year...

LOL I know that's right.
And we may be over excited with a conf. win but you have to understand like Broadway said any win at this point in time is Big for us and to win on the road hell yea I am going to get excited.

Lee also had the nightmare of having 10 players being ineligible by Dowdy on gameday!

Yeah maybe so, but he didn't have that problem last weekend at Morgan. If anything he had the numbers, the size and the depth all to his advantage over an undermanned A&T offense that he was supposed to dominate.

Let me say this from the outset, Coach Broadway did a great coaching job in bringing home the win over Morgan. Now that I've said that, let's get real. Coach Broadway has been a winning head coach for 10 years. He's supposed to do that. Lee was given the job with no head coaching experience because we could not afford a more established coach. He was learning to be a head coach on the job. He was not given the luxury of having his own staff and given the resources that the Administration has given Coach Broadway to save our football program. Nor was he given sufficient time to learn on the job and turn our program around. Even so, he had us positioned to have a winning program until we lost our star quarterback. I might be wrong but I believe he recruited some of the very same guys who contributed to us defeating Morgan. I'm not saying that Coach Broadway hasn't proven himself, I'm just saying that we shouldn't forget what Coach Lee did to restore our program after the Fobb's fiasco. I'm grateful to him and I wish him well. Yea, and I'm glad we beat Morgan!

There's no comparison, Broadway has been a proven winner everywhere he's been ( NCCU and Grambling). Lee in essence had no proven record as a head coach, and that's the difference. I agree with aggiecamp, and I bet a lot of the Grambling folks wished he would have stayed at Grambling after last week end lost to PV in the State Fair Classic. Grambling just didn't look like they did when Broadway was coaching them. Be proud that we have one of the best coaches in BCF, and let's hope he'll be around for a while
