We need some offensive firepower bad but the defense played well although they were put in bad spots on a number of occasions....OL held at least 7 times...we lost but overall effort is very encouraging......no quit out there tonight!

We need a kicker that can kick the ball past the 30 yard line on kick-offs. The offense is still horrible. This is mostly the line's fault. Overall though, they played hard. We don't have to worry about Rags going 4-0 and earning an opportunity to be permanent coach.

This is mostly the line's fault. How many offensive linemen are injured? Why did Tomlin only get one carry?

Because this coaching staff cares more about a record than putting the team in the best position to win.
Giving only one carry to your best RB (which resulted in a touchdown by the way) is an outrage. Imagine how much more effective our offense could have been yesterday if Night Train was part of the game plan.

Sometimes ya gotta reward the kids who've hung in there and done everything you've asked. There will always be someone on the bench who has more talent. Besides didn't we build the marketing campaign around Ferguson?

I think the accusations are not appropriate because we don't know any of the facts of why Tomlin had one rush. It surprises me how quickly Ferg supporters on this board has jettison from his side. Could Tomlin had made those TDs against WSSU with no blocking? Ferg broke a number of tackles to get those TDs. Ferg sat out two games because of an injury but he is still the heart of this team that has gone through so much since he arrived on campus.

Maxwell, in the thread "CT's Column for 11/1/08" Kev noted that a lot of players were out. ================================= CT's Column for 11/1/08 Kev noted: The players that are injured see below: QB - Carlton Fears DB - Michael Pace & Torrian Warren OL - Juan Williams, Jason Valmont, Sergio Glenn & Brenton Walker WR - Giorgio Lowrance TE - Trahern Chaplin LB - Timothy Shropshire, Andre Thornton & Brandon Colbert ===================================
The O line is hurt. I'm not sure who played. ============== As far as the game, I agree BCU received a short field time & time again...and that got to us. I felt that we "had a chance" in this game....no more 45-3 type deals. The game was not decided " early"....and I can live with that effort. I dont know about the league. Winstom beat Hampton.

We still got 100 yards on the ground with a patched up OL...... I would like to have seen Tomlin receive more carries.... If we run the ball 40 plus times with carries being split would have scored at least one more TD... Tomlin is avg more than 6 yards a carry, please Rags give the damn ball to Tomlin more than one time a game!!!!!!!!!!

Is he averaging six yards a carry in practice? Does he put the ball on the ground? Does he miss every block? I don't know because I'm not there. Maybe just maybe, the coaches have a reason other than "senioritis" for not giving him more carries. Let's give the new coach a chance to be just that, the new coach!!! All I can say is, the team appears to be more willing and able than they were just two weeks ago.

In spite of all that goes wrong or looks bad, my hat goes off to Rags for feilding a team that looks and plays like a team that wants to win. The defense especially are dishing out big blows, even with key player injuries. This, (with the season almost over) shows some signs that they respect their leader.

This happened a few times during the game: Wide open dude downfield, Miller takes off running. Granted, he was under pressure, but it seems like there were a few occasions where he might have been able to complete a pass for a big gain.
