your statement is "hypocritical". first of all. clemson "does" have alternative uniforms. secondly, you admit that it attracts recruits. i have no further comment cuz you made my case for me... I have been consistent with my comments. You bold the text in my 1st post on this topic which I stated it was a minor factor to most players. Alternative or throwback uniforms are a different discussion as Saabman mentioned. Plano a little advice you made your point so just stop engaging 😆. Just move on to more important discussions.

I expect you're gonna be sad/upset/disgusted/etc! Man I hope not ! Having tucked shirts, wearing the same color socks and shoes should be a given. I put that type of thing on the coaches. It's about discipline, and being uniform...looking like one unit. Hell, even may daughters middle school basketball team coaches force this issue. They tell them what color and type of T-shirts they are supposed to wear under the school supplied uniforms. Their jerseys are to be tucked, and socks are to "plain" as to not stand out from the rest of the team. They don't supply the kids shoes, but discourage styles or colors that say "look at me" instead of "I'm on this team". They prefer white, black...or school colors combinations. We got to get these kids focused on what's most important. They will win and lose together. I know in this time of the transfer portal...and looking out for self those aren't popular ideas, but teams at this level that win are the teams that understand those concepts. I don't want a team full of players getting run over and out played...but "look good". having previously coached middle school aged athletes, i can tell you for a fact that its far "easier" to get 7th and 8th graders to dress a certain way than it is to get "college aged" athletes to do it. "in general", 7th and 8th graders will do whatever you tell them to do, including how to wear their uniforms. not as easy to do with "college aged" athletes. not saying it can't be done, just that its not as "easy"...

That's BS OSA. It's not easy if or because, you don't enforce it. Younger athletes follow the coaches lead and rules including uniforms/uniform uniformity combinations and presentation on the field of play ,and in practice. With that being said the big boys are given a pass to a degree because of there size..i.e,7,8,9 X which are special order sizes , but even then it is away to still present a neat and uniform look for the team . But those things have to be enforced and the rules must be clear from the Top (Coaches) to the Bottom (Players) . No it's not hard truthfully it's quite simple. Just in force the rules.

Younger athletes follow the coaches lead and rules to excluding uniforms/uniform uniformity combinations and presentation on the field of play ,and in practice. Sorry, I agree with all 3 of you (OSA, Saabman, and Aggie 96) in parts. The head coach has a lot of authority in enforcing team uniform rules, but I too believe it is "easier" for a head coach to enforce these rules on players at the middle or high school age. The power of social media and NIL at the college level leans to individualism and distinct player personality on occasions making it "more difficult" for a head coach to set and/or enforce fashionable team dress codes accepted by all. Now if a head coach chooses to step out there and "set" strict team uniform rules (dress alike, jerseys tucked in, school colors only, etc.) then he better have the balls to "enforce" it. All coaches don't have the same admin backing, power, coaching experience, etc, so they pick their battles with the players.

When you enforce and re-enforced a rule/code it becomes embedded in the player's Minds and becomes the behaviors you are looking for or trying to achieve that makes it easier on the coaches. But if you do not enforce/ reinforce a code or rule it makes it hard for a coach to achieve the behavior he is looking for. You know this already because you have coached repetitive conditioning and reinforcement.
