what about the "white helmet"? do we now have "white helments"? i like the one i saw except i'd rather not have the navy blue stripe coming down the middle, just take the stripe out...

Yes...we wore the white helmet last year as well. I think the stripe is probably gonna stay, but instead of having the scripted 'Aggies' on one side and the number on the other like last year, the scripted 'Aggies' will be on both sides this season.

They definitely need to increase the size of the Aggies scripted font. The decal they had last year was too small and didn't fill up enough surface area on the side of the helmet.

Agreed...the font does need to be a little bit bigger...and I would love to see the lock on the white helmet!

I'll pass on the script or the number...stick with "lock". Just don't understand why folks wanna fix something that isn't broken.

The lock should always be the same and never altered on our helmets or anything representing A&T. That is the iconic look for A&T Sports and the university itself. Why would people want to change something that is nationally known as a representation of the University itself.

I prefer simplicity in uniform designs. With current technology (personal or commercial devices) in quickly identifying players on the field, we don't necessarily need player's numbers on every piece of equipment (helmet, pants, shoes, etc). I would stick to school colors only, number on jersey only, optional player's name, and a combination of school name, emblem, or mascot. Although I don't like it but it is today's world, an exception would be the inclusion of marketing trademarks from deals in generating team/school revenue.
Do what is necessary to distinguish your team from the opposing team in uniform attire, but the biggest distinction you can make for me is high performance or dominance on the field as well as demonstrate discipline.

It seems that most of us agree on the look of our uniforms and the presentation of the “Lock”…I don’t know who makes the call in uniforms and helmets, but this desire to follow the herd with “anything” goes uniform and helmets is beyond me. Those gradient uniforms last year were horrible…the grey was even worse. I like the white helmet…and would like to see a gold one as well. That said, they should have a “Lock” on them in the same place as our blue helmets. This ain’t a fashion show! It’s football, and we have traditions a history…a proud one at that. We should alway run to it, not away from it. You think Alabama or Clemson gonna do some of the stuff you see going on in college football today?

It goes back to recruiting, this generation likes having multiple uniform combinations and designs that are far from traditional. That’s why you see traditional schools like Ohio State dropping alternates uniforms and why Oregon became so popular as a football school. I agree the gradient was trash and the grey set was off-brand for our school, and I prefer the lock on the helmets as well, but you can almost always assume these decisions are made with recruits in mind. I’d be cool with the a Navy tops on the same template as the new gold tops, wear the gold once or twice a year (GHOE and Aggie-Eagle), white on the road with a gold shell for special occasion games (maybe a throwback helmet).
