Need I say anything more!!! We could play this game in July and the result will be the same. Come on guys, let's admit it, this is what our basketball team has become. Did we say that about football, baseball, volleyball, bowling and cross country and track and field? Basketball is a revenue sport.

At least we didn’t lose to an NAIA team tonight. We’ll be MEAC good though. No one in the conference will play is that well. We’ll also have a chance at 3 div-1 wins before the new year. We play some pretty trash squads but we will need to find lineups that work.
Also, Kam May lose his starting job soon playing like that.

NSS get your "List" out and I hope Hilton takes your advice this damn time.
Totally embarrassing to get an a$$ whupping like this. I don't give a damn if this was the first game or last game.
Our program sucks from top to bottom. We are division 1 pretenders and have been for decades.
Coach Cal Irvin - Coach Don Corbett set examples we are not heeding. What is the damn problem?

Sixties Aggie basketball "is" a revenue sport but it won't be for long if we keep playing like this.

RELAX! Some of you are waaaay too brutal, Although we were bad, we are not giving UNCG enough credit for the talent they’ve added over the last few years. Wes Miller is the same coach he was when used to beat them.
We went down 18-3 and never recovered. We missed layups and had no answer for their press. The team will get better the question is how quickly. UNCG DID GO TO YHE NCAAs last year.

But what frost my butt is we continue to have the same problems every darn season...point guards that can't bring the ball upcourt under pressure, no one that can confidently hit a 15 foot jump shot, and missed layups! I must admit, I refuse to attend A&Ts men's basketball games because they are so frustrating. I usually attend one game at the start of the season just to see if finally they have fixed the problems from the previous season...a point guard that can bring the ball upcourt under pressure and someone that can hit a 15 foot jumper. And every year the answer is "no" and that's the last game I bother to attend. Why drive two hours and pay my hard earned money for a ticket to be frustrated?

wow, after only 1 game? calling for the coach's head? what kind of "shiggidy" is this!! dang, folks! its only the first game of the season and some of ya'll act like uncg is some kind of "cream puff" or somethin'. did any of ya'll know that uncg was the "#1 seed" (not #2, not #3, not #4), but the doggone #1 seed in the nit last year! a&t has never been and never will be the #1 seed in the nit. so give it a break. we simply got beat by a better team, period. geeesh, i luv my fellow aggies but sometimes ya'll go way too overboard. how many games have we played this season? one? yet some have already written the entire season off and now calling for the coach's head? ain't this the same coach who has a winning record over "arguably" the best coach in the meac who just so happens to be our arch rival? wow, just wow...

OSA, do you know why our program will never be #1 in the NIT? Think about it. I have been supportive of our coach since day one but no mo.
Our coach has been at T long enough to have a better prepared team and true division one players.
I know we are going to lose games but not in this manner. We have been set back 10 years in recruitment in this area. We are the laughing stock of NC.
We are in a weak conference so we might win a few games as the last 2 years. However, we don't have true division 1 players and we are Not a real division 1 team.
Mr. Hilton hired Battle and gave him a chance to head a poor performing program. "To me", our program is still sub par and changes need to be made if we don't win the MEAC Championship. He has been on the job 4 or 5 years and we should be better.
NSS, I know you have a prepared list so be ready!

I think some of you are making UNCG in something I didn't see. I guess time will tell. Since Georgetown tickets are so cheap ($5), I might go see them in person when they come to town.

bruh, we are talking about UNCG...a couple years ago we beat them and they stopped playing us. What has happened since then...they upgraded their coaches, plain and simple. UNCG didnt settle for supbar and mediocre coaching...seems like we are happy being the one of the tallest midgets.

i just don't trip on beating or losing to uncg. no big deal to me, certainly not gonna lose any sleep over it. look, uncg doesn't have a football team. so its very likely that they spend more money on their basketball program than we do. they put all of their beans in their men's basketball basket, we don't.
it doesn't bother me if they have better recruits than we do. after all, they have a much larger enrollment that we do (20k to our 12.5k) which means they also likely have far more financial resources than we do, especially since they don't have a football team.
uncg's basketball coach makes twice or three times as much money as our coach makes. and i'd be willing to bet, their basketball recruiting budget is way more than ours too. success at the d1 level in the major sports (football and basketball) is primarily (not solely) predicated on "financial resources". ain't too many d1 midmajor schools that we can "outspend", and certainly not any of the p5 schools.
so i don't trip on beating uncg. yeah, i know we've beaten them in the past, but that was in the past. schools like uncg and odu can start from scratch building a football or basketball program and still have stronger programs than us simply because they have more finances than we do.
so before ya'll fire our coach for not beating uncg, jack up his salary to $300k like uncg's is and jack up his budget like uncg's is. then if he doesn't beat uncg, at least you can say the playing field was equal...

UNCG didnt settle for supbar and mediocre coaching...seems like we are happy being the one of the tallest midgets. UNCG upgraded nothing as far as the coaches are concerned what they have done is to upgrade the quality of their recruits . Players that are fundamentally sound . Somewhere in this conversation you have to address the players lack of the basic skills that they should already know and possess . Like ball handling , boxing out , layups , free throw shooting and playing defense . Yes these are coachable things but they are also things that the players should already know how to do and should take Pride in doing them . The coaches should be held accountable and so should the players .

It does not matter that UNCG does not have a football team. What does matter is the players that are performing on the floor.
Our budget should be large enough to get quality "Division 1" players and coaches. UNCG's coach was not very good in the beginning but progressed. Our coach has not.
I have too much Aggie Pride to say a butt whipping like we took from any school does not make me mad. It could have been Duke that whipped us like that and I still would have been pissed. What makes it so bad it was not Duke. That is the issue.
Yeah, some are mad and want our coach head to roll. We have a reason for that feeling.
He claimed he had top recruits and transfers. If he has then his coaching is terrible.
I will never accept an a$$ whupping like this from anyone and make excuses for the outcome.
Tooooo much Aggie Pride for this sub par performance and coaching. He better get on the ball.
