I'm not buying the they have not played together, give it time. There is a thing called fundamentals. We lack it. It's how Broadway can go Into Appalachian state with a rag tag team and a second string quarterback and still win.
I am a firm believer it does not take long to figure out whether you have a good Coach or not. If people are still question it after year 3 it usually never works out.
This was epic embarrassment

Yep, that was pretty ugly. Lack of defensive discipline, lack of offensive chemistry, poor shot select, poor free throw shooting. A very bad first outing, but I have hope that we can mold the athleticism I see into a more cerebral unit that moves the basketball around instead of one person pounding it for 15, 16, 17 seconds while everyone else is in a four corners formation watching.

This was epic embarrassment For some reason A&T B-ball always start the season like this . Did it last year and the year before . But you can not win at this level with out size I do not mean height . You need movers . Do we even have a gard that can break a press ?

....I can't accept this result from tonight. Sorry fellow Aggies, I can't swallow being a laughing stock in my own back yard. A very inauspicious start....

No doubt Durham...and you got folk calling for a new a coach after one game. I will say the most frustrating part was inability to handle their 3 man trap press. If you don’t have exceptional length at guard you will not fair well passing out of that trap press. Someone has to put the ball on the floor and dribble or set a backcourt pick to free the pg to abdvance the ball. G ran the same press last year. Our adjustment was not there tonight

Did anything or anyone look promising tonight ? Ron Jackson balled.... 17 pts on 5 of 8 shooting from the field. Ty Lyons played hard on both ends, finishing with 9 pts. You can see the potential with Harry Morrice. That's about it.

I must admit, I usually ignore Aggie basketball until Febrary because it takes the coach and our players that long to get on track. So I'll catch you guys around valentine's day.

I didn't like the idea of A&T playing uncg for the first game of the season last year. I don't think it is a good idea this season. A&T is playing for the keys to this region. The uncg team has proclaimed that Greensboro is their city. It was our city for many years. We gave up that mantle years ago by having too many mediocre coaches and teams. We want to reclaim it. We can't afford to lose to our backyard neighbor, because of the importance of recruiting and respect. Before putting a semi-rebuilding team on the floor against a seasoned foe, I believe the team and the coach need some games under their belts. If A&T must play this team, do it later in the season when the team has developed experience and chemistry. Need I say anything more!!!

Complete embarrassment for our Aggies. We have a bunch of no-name recruits, no inside presence, & suspect shooting-again. It's going to be a long year.

We could play this game in July and the result will be the same. Come on guys, let's admit it, this is what our basketball team has become.

Excellence is the goal here.. we are not even the best in the MEAC, and if we are honest not even in the top 10 in hbcus.. Doesn't Hilton have a 4year championship rule on coaches??
