Result of the two games on Thursday Night:
1) Will A&T Season ticket holder from out of state show up 2) Students showing up. Maybe being on TV will bring more students 3) Donald Ware and the broadcasting crew will have a nice two weeks off. 4) Start working with the High Schools and Church for reduce tickets. 5) NCCU-FAMU game will have some Aggie in attendance. 6 Cohen will have the spotlight on you

Not sure why people are questioning attendance. Night games do well for us.

As I see it back to back Thursday games are not likely to be as well attended as the single night game which is a big deal. But the $50,000 makes attendance a non issue. Thursday games don't lend themselves to anything but a game and few of the other activities associated with the game. Less tailgating etc but I seem to be in the minority on this so I give? .. Guess I can go to Huntsville on that Saturday

I swear I'm going to the stadium the wed before the game and look for brown spots and will be there with some green spray paint from Lowes. THIS GRASS DISCUSSION HAS IRRIATED ME Professor, It's important. I don't know why it irritates you but I think part of it may be because you are right there in Greensboro. For those of us that are out of state, every image of A&T is important. It projects the brand of the school and it is a reflection of every individual alumni. And a brown spotted football field on national TV projects a horrible impression. As great as Tarik Cohen's highlight reel is ... Last month we had an "rep your school" day at work. So, I'm sporting a bright gold Aggie long sleeve T-shirt with AGGIES on the front with the bulldog head(without the arms) and NCA&T Aggies written boldly down the sleeves in blue. On my head was the beige baseball cap turnt backwards with the A&T Lock at the front. All that covered by blue Aggie windbreaker. I'm in Denver so I'm surrounded by Colorado, Colorado State, Wyoming, New Mexico, Utah, BYU and UNLV gear. I got heads turning, positive comments about the gear and questions about the school. One guy said he saw us play Depaul back in the Eaves days, another said, "Didn't you guys play in a bowl game last year?" Those of us that are not in Greensboro try to be ambassadors for the school in places not named Greensboro. It's important that we come "proper", period. Particularly when we have an opportunity to. When I gather a group of guys around a big screen at a local sports bar in order to introduce them to concept of an HBCU. I'm sure none of us want the image to be rough looking field, which BTW you see the entire game. If it was 30 years ago and our football team did not have regional and national exposure, it would not matter as much. The problem is that we do. P.S. What month it is doesn't matter. How is it that Elon doesn't have a problem in October/November?

And it seems that our grass turns green due to the type that is out there. I see plenty yards that turn towards winter. Why I don't know. Not my area of expertise. My point is brown grass ain't cost us not one game ever. We can play on dirt for all I care. As long as we win. I for one don't believe that one recruit has ever said , hmmm...... I'm not going to A&T because their grass turns brown after Oct. Again, lets get the paypal going for paint and like I said.... I will go out to Aggie Stadium and ensure there isn't a brown patch out there. I'm looking at various colors of green right now on Lowes.com

I will go out to Aggie Stadium and ensure there isn't a brown patch out there. I'm looking at various colors of green right now on Lowes.com You might want to play on dirt, but no college athlete today of the caliber that we want to attract agrees with you, especially when they have other choices that use every negative attribute they can to persuade kids not to consider HBCUs. I think someone on the board overheard a comment by a recruit at the spring game this year that went something like, "Yeah, this is a pretty nice stadium, but the field .." That being said, it's still more about image. And if you think image is not important in Black life, we may as well tell NAACP to change the name of its awards show. I equate your perspective(which I respect but disagree with) to having the best vintage car in your neighborhood. You get props from all the car clubs in town, all the girls like to hang out with you, other guys asking you how you attained that look and why your engine purrs like a kitten until ..... ...You go to a show in another city. You realize your car is decent, but there are other folks with the same make and model that put you to shame. If we're going to enter shows outside our neighborhood(National TV), then the price of entry is to look like we belong there well before pre-game introductions. Otherwise, stay in your neighborhood. It's not about PAINT It's not about PAYPAL It's only about PRIORITY, and at the point it becomes more of a priority something will get done regarding the field. I have no doubt. It's just more urgent to some fans than to others, that's all. BEAT ST. AUG!

We sign great players year in and out with our brown grass. We are preparing for our 5th consecutive winning season. Haven't had success like this since 96 to 2001. And we have done it with brown grass. A sound program and solid coaching are the main concerns.
I get your analogy. But we aren't going to increase the budget so where does the money for this extensive grass preparation come from. And lets be clear, we aren't asking for this national TV stuff. We don't ask ESPN to come and move our games to Thursday night or show us on tape delay. We are wanted because we are winning. Which goes back to having a sound program and great coaching.
This grass thing is tiny issue in the grand scheme of our football program. I proposed the solution to spray the brown spots as to help calm the concerns.

Spraying it is fine as long as its not brown. When we are on TV I tell my friends / co-workers to check us out the brown field looks like we are playing in a dirt lot in the inner city...This is a lay up a softball toss and its needs to be completed....As I said before its like having on a very nice suit with a pair of jacked up shoes. When people are all ready a little skeptical this just screams and we all know people tend to focus on the negative.
