@ theFriscotoaggie if you are going to prove me wrong because of my age then at least get it right, I never said that Klough didn't have pocket presence I said Quick didn't have pocket presence(check post). Now help me understand why at this stage that is the case? Oh yeah before you say he is a read option qb he is still a QB non the less with 2.5 years exp.
I personally believe that Klough will be a solid passes once he understands timing. His upside is really good if he is coached up properly!

I think the point that is being missed is, we haven't always been decent, matter of fact, in the mid 2000's we were God awful as a program. Me personally, am of the belief that unril you appreciate what you have you cannot be blessed with more. That being said it jusrjust makes sense in my mind to enjoy where we are as a program even though we are still getting better as a program. That's why I made the comment, in years past we couldn't have had that many turnovers in a game and still win the game. That's growth and bottom line is...we had better talent than DSU. I'm not bragging nor boasting but it wason display yesterday. I didn't think I'd see it on display like yesterday again since Hayes left. But, that's what left me so impressed regardless of the mistakes. If you had told me, we would be able to empty the bench at the beginning of the 4th quarter on DSU's homecoming, I would've never believed it, but I witnessed it. But, there's always room for improvement.

I personally believe that Klough will be a solid passes once he understands timing. His upside is really good if he is coached up properly! Pocket presence isn't something that you can just "develop" in one or two off-seasons. It's more a function of a couple of things: 1. A natural "Spidey-Sense" to know when someone is about to get close to you before they get close enough to take you down. 2. The courage to stay in the pocket if you feel confident that your targets will get open 3. The decisiveness to "know when to fold 'em" and bail the pocket for positive yards And, oh, by the way.... you have 3 seconds to process all that data.... Most read-option QBs coming out of high school aren't taught to progress through 3-4 reads in high school... probably 1 read, then scramble for a lot of them, unless they have a stellar OL. Quick isn't the greatest at pocket presence, but he's waaaaaayyyyy ahead of Klugh right now at the 3 elements I listed above. He's very good at #3 and has progressed at #1 and #2 since he's arrived. The Coastal and Elon games were live trials to get him acclimated. He was definitely gaining steam in the Chowan and Howard games before the injury. I believe in have high expectations, but also having realistic expectations. We get kids who need development. We're doing it.... maybe not as fast as we ideally like... but we're doing it... and we're 6-2 as a result...

What we have on this board is no different than what we see every day in our community. ..different opinions. Some of us see these games and are just happy with the results. And some of us see the same games and feel the results could have been better. Either way we all support the team and the players.
Probably the biggest difference on this board are some of us "may be" a little more patient with the coaches and players than others. We still remember those "bad old days" and are enjoying this brief moment of success. We may looking at our players as "just kids" rather than top level collegiate athletes. But for whatever reason, we are a bit more patient with this team.
So we will continue to have these debates on this board. I hope none of us get so upset with other posters that we lose sight of the one thing we all agree on...we love A&T and the future looks very bright for us.

Generally speaking, are alumni/fans expectations in alignment with their financial support of football and athletics in general?
Like voting, if you are not giving, don't complain about the results.
PS: We're 6-2.

I'm happy we're in the running to win the conference and earn a playoff invite going into GHOE.
What's all the fussing for. Are we perfect? No: we're far from it. But, I like where we are compared to where we came from.
Now we do have a long ways to go but it is what it is and it's why I love this game I played as a kid and why I love this damn school and football program.
But I digress...
If we beat FAMU, who is desperately trying to salvage their season and finish .500, we will be 7-2 (4-1 in conference play) with a week off before we play Morgan State. Heck, if we win our next 4 games, we will get a share of the conference title, most likely and possibly get invited to a playoff game.
We can save the details on how we can win better for the off-season and spring ball. At this point, it's just survive and advance.

i'm very late chiming in because i got home late saturday night from the game and then had to referee 3 basketball games first thing sunday morning. during all of that, i recorded a bunch of football games on my dvr and avoided the internet and sports channels so that i wouldn't know the final score on the games i recorded. i went to the dsu game, got there 15 minutes before kickoff time, but stood in the ticket line so long that i missed the entire 1st quarter and almost all of the 2nd quarter. dsu only had 2 ticket windows open which left a very long line of fans while the game was going on. man, i was so pissed off when i finally entered the game! well i was pissed until i saw the scoreboard. i really don't have a lot of comments on the game, most of ya'll have already covered everything. i'm just glad we got the "w" and that central got the "L". now i'll be in a good mood all week long looking forward to ghoe! if we win out and bcu loses just 1 game, we'll earn a share of the meac championship with a very good chance of earning an at large bid to the playoffs. but for now, first things first. famu, you are officially on the clock! its ghoe time! aggie pride!!

PS: We're 6-2. Hmmm..... 586 AAF donors out of 50,000+ (about 1.2%) $456,000 in AAF donor revenue (tops among HBCUs).... but we have a $3.4 million annual scholarship bill that we never meet... By comparison, App St. raised $2.4 million in 2010 and $4.3 million in 2013 as they moved up to FBS... with 110,000+ alumni So... a little over 2x the alums.... but almost 10x the revenue.... I'm sure a lot of the folks posting are AAF donors... but probably not all... More of us can do more for sure... it certainly helps.... www.aggieboosters.com

by the way, a pretty large contingent of aggies were at the dsu game this weekend. i was very pleased to see that. two years ago there were only a hand full of aggies there and no bgmm. so a&t was very well represented at the dsu game and also at howard.
looks like our fans are starting to comeback. ghoe is gonna be absolutely "crazy"...
