When I walked out the stadium Saturday all I thought about was how relieved I was we held on to win and what time I was going to arrive in Greensboro for homecoming. Did we play some ugly football late in the game? Yep but when the horn sounded and we had won, I forgot all about those mistakes. And why did I forget about them? Because Coach Broadway and his staff saw the mistakes too and I'm sure they will work on them in practice this week. What good would it do for me to come on this site and state the obvious...we've got to keep working to improve our performance. But Coach Broadway has been saying that all season and he's better qualified to do something about it. So chill out my Aggie friends...we got the right coach working on the team's problems.
We ain't perfect but we are better than most and getting better every season.

Our first winless season under Fobbs was in 2006. If you were 10-11 years old then, you theoretically could be a sophomore student at A&T right now. At 10-11 years old, you may not have even been exposed to grade school football yet. Aggie One, don't automatically assume everyone on this board is your age. A 21-22-yr old senior at A&T was 11-12 years old a decade ago.....hell, they probably weren't on boards like this 10 years ago.... Neither the stodginess and stubbornness that comes with age nor the absence of wisdom that accompanies youthful zeal can ever excuse boorishness. WHAT HE SAID ......

Regardless of bobbyjoe's age his post indicates little football knowledge. Klugh is a freshman that was suppose to be holding a clipboard and due to injuries to two other QB's he was thrust into action.
Klugh has limited understanding of the playbook; remember he should be standing on the sideline holding the playbook with the OC reading it to him from the press box! Then you say he has no pocket presence; well you cant teach that in 3 weeks of practice. You do that running the scout team and in spring practice. Yet in still the young man has us 3-1 in games that he played meaniful minutes.
Coaching Staff I think the coaching staff did a very poor job preparing hom for SC State but they made the adjustments and started spoon feeding him just like Broadway said.

Hey, did anyone else hear the DSU announcer act offended at losing to A&T at the end of the broadcast? In frustration dude said, "this is a team we should always beat?" Kinda pissed me off by the lack of respect for how this program has improved!

He was an apologist for DSU's performance and frustrated as hell all afternoon. After all it was homecoming. If it had not been for all those fourth quarter fumbles, it would have been a shutout.
The young kid reporting on the sideline wasn't delusional. His commentary was on point at halftime - It was over for the Hornets so go out and play for pride.

SideNote: Props to the BGMM for showing up to DSU. Says a lot about where our Band Program is as well. If they make it down to Savannah they will have played at every game this season. I can't remember a game travel schedule like this in quite a while.

One other thing about yesterday. Their last TD should have been credited to the clock operator.
My wife caught it first. They ran a play with 17 seconds left where the QB couldn't find anyone downfield and threw a sideline route for a tiny gain.
The game clock ran off just one second down to 16. The play took just over five seconds when we looked at the video a second time last night.
Doesnt make any difference now other than the refs let it slide.
Homecoming privileges I guess.

I like that DSU has that game on youtube. I can watch it in peace.

I love it when these new resident cynics pop up on this message board under the guise of "constructive criticism." Never saw or heard from half these new folks between 2004-2011 or when this board first went up when we stunk on ice. For five of those horrible years we couldn't even line up straight let alone get out of our own way to even look like we might win a game. But they wait a whole decade later, until we find the right people to rescue the disaster which was once A&T football, until we start having a little success on and off the field, and here they come crawling out of the nowhere to spew their dislike for this team and the coaching staff at every possible turn of what they "ought to be doing." I share the same attitude about these type of posters as Nick Saban does about those "special" Alabama supporters. "You really piss me off." I was there. I was there for all of those years and the years before that when we posted on the old MeacFans board. I was there when you wrongly predicted who would replace Hayes. I was there when you were an apologists for Fobbs, for Small, for Lee, for Ragsdale, and the entire A&T football operation. You excel in hyperbole. Let you tell it, every recruit we sign is a can't miss blue chipper who we stole from the "big boys", damn near every game we played you selected us as favorites, and every move our administration made with respects to Aggie football was golden. Shall we dig up all those old threads? I think not. So how about everyone just fall back and respect the board for what it is. A place where fans (who really don't have a clue), come to spout off, root for their team, and speak openly about the on-field and off the field affairs of our university and alma mater. For you Aggie One, hope springs eternal (constantly). Nothing wrong with that. I will assume it is an accurate reflection of a man who has been a die-hard Aggie fan for most of his life. For others, they believe that we can and should do better in certain areas. Doesn't mean they don't support the team or that they are any less a fan as you. Their voices are often right, and they are often wrong...just like you.

I can't remember a game travel schedule like this in quite a while. If you were at the game you noticed that the BGMM left immediately after the game ended. They hopped back on the buses, drove to DC to perform at a battle of the band competition later Saturday night. But their weekend wasn't over yet...Sunday they performed again in Durham at yet another battle of the bands. Three performances in two days! The BGMM is A&T's biggest ambassadors!

You are right. I am an enternal optimist most of the time and I yes I've been wrong before and the good Lord willing I'll live long enough to get a chance to probably be wrong again. You come to appreciate things like that when get some miles on you.
i don't really care what the perception of me may be outside my family and professional colleagues. You won't see me lose one bit of sleep over any of this.
But on this one point I don't apologize for and never will. Never have I been vindictive or personally disrespected any poster, player, coach, or anyone on this board. Folks can express opinions all they want but when it gets to be personal and insulting I'm going not going to shy away and say oh well.
Believe it or not in today's world of shouting over any opposing viewpoint or vilifying the messenger, people can have strong differing opinions but can at least remain respectful and keep the ugly side of emotion in check.
That's not very much to expect. At least it didn't used to be.

Folks can express opinions all they want but when it gets to be personal and insulting I'm going not going to shy away and say oh well. I don't recall anyone personally disrespecting players, coaches, or anyone else in THIS thread. It's been done before in other threads and it is always wrong to go at someone on an intimate/personal level. But we talking X's and O's here. If there are folks here who think we aren't using the tight end enough - so be it. If there are folks here who think Broadway and company need to do better with clock management - so be it. If there are folks here who think that the quarterback play needs to drastically improve - then so be it. That's not personal. It's sports and the non-authoritative banter that often ensues on sports message boards across the country. Your original post had a real condescending tone to it which is what elicited my response. Old posters AND new posters have just as much right to come here and applaud AND criticize what they see. This notion that anyone who critiques what they see on Saturday afternoons is not loyal to Aggie athletics needs to stop. It's a message board and while you may be "the foremost authority on Aggie football" your opinion is not gospel. And neither is mine. Take it for what it is.
