We have got us a FG kicker. Congrats to the Players. Coach will get on them.

We really need to learn how to play 4 solid quarters!.....we won't win in the playoffs with those mistakes and turnovers!

.....about as unsatisfying a victory we've had. Other than Cody Jones kicking the ball well, this game was mostly garbage. One good thing about unsatisfying victories is that they count just the same as satisfying victories.
Looking at the rest of the schedule, we have a bunch of marginal teams. I still think we can go 10-2, but at the end of the season, I want us to be a quality 10-2 team. We didn't play good quality football today. We need to be getting better from week to week. I can't say we did that today. I'm happy with the victory, but not the performance.
Quick - PLEASE BE HEALTHY BY THE TIME MORGAN ROLLS INTO TOWN.

Put up TD's A&T! It looked like DSU wanted to make us win by passing. Tarik got 144 tough yards. Longest run 14 yds. The Freshman QB is still learning.
FAMU is on the clock.

They were up 31-7 in the fourth and damn near blew it. About every football coach will tell you when you have unforced turnovers late in a game, especially if you are on the road, it usually stems from fatigue.
* - Special note about FAMU this afternoon. Fleming went down with a injury at Howard early in the fourth and didn't return. Howard scored 21 straight after FAMU had to sit on the ball but they ran out of time. Fleming's status for next week is unknown at this time.

That 4th q. Was the worse I seen us play on both side of the ball. But klugh seem to b so out of sync when it come to handing the ball over. And out offensive line have got to get stronger we could not push them back when in the red zone.

Aggies Move Into Second Place With Win Over DSU A&T 33, DSU 20 DOVER, Del. – Delaware State scored a touchdown on the final play of its MEAC football game against North Carolina A&T. Fortunately for the Aggies, they got a 30-point head start on the Hornets Saturday afternoon and came away with a key 33-20 conference win at Alumni Stadium. Unfortunately, the Hornets were able to score 20 fourth-quarter points thanks in large part to Aggie fumbles. “We’re pleased with the win but we’ve got to play better,” said A&T head coach Rod Broadway, whose Aggies were able to spoil DSU’s homecoming. “We’ll take as many wins as we can get – ugly, pretty or whatever. To turn the ball over in the situations we turned over today gets you beat on most days. We’ve got to get that corrected.” For the rest of the story: www.ncataggies.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=24500&ATCLID=209724298

Cody Jones deserves some kudos. We need Ghardin back to return punts. Also, Quick would be a nice homecoming gift. Did I say Quick?...

And out offensive line have got to get stronger we could not push them back when in the red zone. Klugh needs to work with his QB's coach on his belly reads. Look all running back know that if the ball hit's you belly hard it's yours and the QB should let it go. If it's light he my pull it from the pocket . The kid attacks the line when he runs and Klugh need to learn how to gauge when to press the pocket and when not to press. It's all about touch. If Klugh is heavy handed he will continue to have problems in this offence.

I was hesistant to give Klugh excessive praise after the Hampton game because of Hampton's suspect defense. The reality is he's a very young, raw QB who's going to struggle some until he gets an off-season of work. As far as I'm concerned, it's kind of pointless to expect drastic improvements for him in-season...the step changes will be in the off-season if they're going to happen.
But at the end of the day....Klugh is 2-1 as a starter. And that's what counts.
So way to hang in there, Mr. Klugh...there are a small % of men in the world who get to play QB in the game of football...we get to critique you from afar, but only the men in the arena know what it's really like....the rest either can reminisce on times past or only dream....

I'll take it. Regardless of how we did it we pulled out a win in a situation that would have easily been a loss just last year. Even though we lost the 2nd half we all remember a time when it would have been an all out "L".

Look, I'd rather have Quick than Klugh starting.......but folks act as if Quick was lighting it up before he got injured. He had a good game vs Howard until he got hurt........BUT IT WAS HOWARD!!! Howard has yet to win an FCS game.
I saw Quick on TV vs AAMU - his feet were amazing; his passing was horrendous. I saw Quick vs Coastal - his passing was horrendous. I saw Quick vs Elon - he made some decent passes in the 4th qtr, but for the most part, his passing was horrendous.
I refuse to grade his performance against Chowan.
Look, there is no doubt we are better with Quick behind the center, but he is still not remotely close to being a polished QB either. I think we are very fortunate to have a favorable schedule the rest of the way. I still see us going 10-2....but even with that being said, are we going to be a good 10-2 squad or an average 10-2 squad?
It's hard to imagine calling a 10-win team average, but this team can go 10-2 with C-level QB play. We need our QB's to step it up....and we need our coaching staff to coach them up.
Quick's best game was vs Howard (winless in the MEAC) Klugh's best game was vs Hampton (winless in the MEAC)
From what I've seen thus far, our offense still leaves a lot to be desired....it starts and ends with QB play and how they're being coached/taught during the week.
