I was told by one of the coaches that camp starts on Aug 1st. It's almost that time again. Best time of the year including Xmas!!!

man, now that we have a baseball team here in dc that's in first place in our division, i thought i wouldn't be so anxious for football to start since i've got dc nationals baseball games to watch almost every day. but not so! the more i review the recruits we have coming in, the more anxious i get for football to start!
i'm not an avid baseball fan, just a dc nationals fan that like watching them play. but even that's not enough to keep me from anxiously awaiting aggie football. and hearing that the coaches are considering moving amos williams to the offense has me even more excited than i already was. man, camp won't get here soon enough!!

man, i had a “scary” thought last night that hit me. can you imagine the kind of overall “speed” we’d have in the backfield and on the edges if quick would just get his passing game together? i mean, we’ve got rb’s who run 4.3 forties and wr’s who have world class speed. and the one thing about quick that everybody knows is that quick has “exceptional” speed too! way faster than kindle was. i mean, i thought about it last night, that most defenses would be forced to pick their poison against us if quick can get his passing on par. we’re talking 4.5 speed or better at almost every position in the backfield, on the edges, and under center! who are you gonna stop? defenses better be able to match our speed across the board if quick becomes a solid passer or else we’re gonna be lighting up the scoreboard... Oldeschoolaggie, you had the same thought I had...if Quick could improve his passing game he would be just what we needed. We knew Kindle could pass if given time but his foot speed often didn't allow him to maneuver in the pocket to find the open receiver. And when he was flushed out of the pocket and had to tuck the ball and run, he wasn't fast enough to outrun the defense. So most defenses just tried to put enough pressure on him to force him to run. Quick on the other would outrun a lot of defenders but last year he couldn't hit the side of a barn. I'm not sure if he has improved his passing over the past three years but he would make our offense unstoppable if he has. I guess we will have to wait for the first game to see what Quick can do in the backfield. I really hope he gets the starting QB job since he's invested three years working on it but...as my high school football coach loved to say..."be good or be gone!" I'm sure there are other key positions on our them for him if he doesn't get the job.

I was looking at a list for top Pro Prospects from small schools. C. Carolina had a kicker - OL-ILBer in the top 5 at those positions. Tenn State had 4 players in the rankings of course NCA&TSU does not play TSU

Almost too many great running backs to remember them all in a solitary post let alone to single out just one duo or trio as the greatest.
The list is seemingly endless here at "Tailback U."
