i met to mention this when we played hampton on espnu but i forgot. i'm in favor of installing field turf at aggie stadium, but if we can keep our grass surface looking as "beautiful" as it was when we played hampton on tv, there would be no need for synthetic turf and i'd favor keeping our natural grass. my only complaint with our grass surface is that it turns "brown" in late october and november, and the brown grass is not very attractive to say the least. but if we can keep it nice and green "for the entire season" like it was against hampton (we played them on oct. 9th), then i'd wanna keep our natural grass. it was "gorgeous" on espn! and the painted markings were "flawless" too! it appeared that somebody knew we had to put on our best face on national tv which is a good thing. i just wish we could keep it that way... alright doggone it, what da hail happened to that "beautiful" natural grass at aggie stadium i saw on espnu when we played hampton? how do we go from a beautiful "all green" natural grass to an almost "all brown" natural grass in a matter of about 3 weeks or so? i was at the morgan state game and almost the entire field had "brown grass". did we "paint" our natural grass for the hampton game? i've heard rumors that we've painted our grass before in past years but i didn't believe it. however, now having seen such a drastic change in the color of our grass over a relatively short period of time, i'm now beginning to believe that we gave our grass a "paint job" before going on national tv. can anybody confirm or deny?

I don't know whether or not we painted the field...but I mentioned several months ago that SC State painted their stadium's natural grass green for years. They used Tifton 57 grass for their football field and it wasn't hurt at all by the paint. (Of course, they now have synthetic turf.)

(Of course, they now have synthetic turf.) yeah, i think we painted ours too. i live in maryland and the grass on my lawn has not changed colors over the last 3 weeks. matter of fact, my grass is still green showing almost no brown at all. of course, i fertilize my grass but haven't done so in well over 2 months. based on how our aggie stadium grass looked at the morgan state game, i get the impression that we don't fertilize (feed) our natural grass field during the season...

Tarik on Turf! 'poof'! 6 points! Did we see Him jumping... 'taking that leg away' and stopping on Alcorn? It was soooo Sweet! They were running into each other!
Soccer Matches are getting bigger too. We can find out next Gardin ( don't forget about Him!, from the Aggie Stadium's track meets and the next FG kicker from the matches.

I hope that we spend a significant amount of time and Celebration Bowl money on the stadium turf before the 2016 season begins.

It's an upgrade that is long over due. I don't know if you noticed, but in the lead up to the CB ESPN used highlights from the SWAC championship for Alcon and the DSU game for us. You know which one looked better. Our field wasn't hitting on nothing. It's not the end of the world, but if I noticed I'm sure others noticed as well.
It's just time...the new bulldog head along with the interlocking A&T would look sweet on tuff.
I know the A&T on the field at the CB looked real good in person and on TV.

I got a text from an A&T classmate that lives in LA after our televised game during the season. He wanted to know if the drought had killed the grass on the field. Hey we have a championship team and great home stadium and we plays on a pig patch.

I can see Synthethic Turf being added once the Soccer Team comes on line.

IMO, the answer to the question of whether or not we should install Synthetic Turf is --- 'NO'. I'd rather see the university take better care of the current grass turf.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All

A&T alumni would make a powerful statement to the football program and HBCU sports world if WE financed this capital project.

What he said...especially after a big bowl win. This would be just the type of project the Alumni and Greensboro community could get behind.

The turf is great but I would rather spend my money on paying for all players to attend summer school. The guys lifting weights and QBs and receivers together all summer would pay big dividends.
