That is a nice website. It seems to be geared to football alumni though.

If the Commish persists with this idea of sending our champion to the Heritage Bowl. I say we should leave. Definitely.

I was reading an article on Savannah State and apparently one of their running backs, Akeeno Mitchell, transferred to A&T at the end of the season. I suspect he will have to sit a year.

I definetely want to tip my hat to the coaches. We didn't lose a recruiting class despite the coaching change. Some of these kids look like they may be able to contribute sooner rather than later.

Athletics director Dee Todd, who participated in an interview with Harrison before he was accepted as an A&T student, said she was "disappointed" with the verdict. "But a misdemeanor? That's minimal," she said. "We'll have to wait and see what repercussions are going to come with this. "I've spoken with him several times. I think he's a fine young man You've got to be kidding me. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

This all sounds crazy, Am I the only one that is confused about everything thats going on except........ except...... the dismissal of Small and company. I have confidence in Renick and Dee Todd, everyone wants to slam A&T right now but we'll be back strong in two to three years tops!!!!! Good Lawd. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) No good deed goes unpunished.

Both of the part-time assistants have been made full-time assistants. At least until the new head coach is hired. It will be his call as to who stays on and who doesn't.
Do we need more scholarship and recruiting money. Yes. Is the situation as bad as the News & Record suggests. No.
1. We aren't going to fund 63 out-of-state scholarships because there are over 8 million people in NC. In addition, NC is among the fastest growing states in the country.
2. The recruiting budget should be larger. However, we do have ample recruiting ground in our own state. Moreover, we have easy and cheap access to VA, D.C. and SC. We can get by with a lower budget.
I heard from the AD's mouth that we currently fund 50 in-state scholarships and 13 out-of -state scholarships. We do fund a full 63 scholarships. I'll prove it below:
The News & Record states that we fund 55% of the total potential and theoretical amount on scholarships. That theoretical potential equals $462,609 ($7,343 (out-of-state tuition) * 63 scholarships (NCAA I-AA limit)). If we fund 55% that equals $254,435.
Now let's do the math 13 out-of-state scholarships equals $95,459. 50 in-state scholarships ($3,382) equals $169,100. Add the two sums together and it totals $264,559. There's hardly any difference between what the AD reported to me and what the N&R reported. However, the N&R's spin makes it appear that poor coach Small was working with a short supply of scholarships.
That's simply not the case.

Yes. I did. I couldn't believe he had the nerve to say that "We can't really blame the kicker for that loss!"
Hell no we don't blame the kicker. We blame your SMALLtime coaching!!!

We discussed this incident on the old board when it happened. He got harassed by some visitors during University Day. But for, University Day the stadium would've been practically empty.
We cannot guarantee that every person at an A&T game will be sensitive and act with good sense. Especially not on a day like University Day when there are little controls placed on which kids are in attendance.
We can guarantee that if you bring it to the attention of a stadium official it will be dealt with accordingly. You did not. Tough. It's inappropriate for you to continue to associate your negative experience with our institution. You don't know if these were students, faculty or alumni. You can't even point to our institutional response as lacking because you did not take the logical step and complain.
Get over it.

Small did the same thing at Kentucky St. Started off with a bang (someone else's players) and floundered each year thereafter.
I definitely don't miss him.
