Is Quick just that bad in practice, I mean what gives? Don't mean anything behind the question, just asking. It seems that we are down to our last qb and Kindle's it...is that the case? Please help a brutha. And I'm not calling for Kindle's head either.

I've read everyone's posts. I'm glad everyone is keeping it civil, because it is an upsetting situation. For the life of me, I still find it hard to understand why our offense is this bad with a 5th yr senior QB, an offensive coordinator with Bustle's credentials and a head coach with Broadway's resume. I'm not asking for Houston Oiler run-and-shoot offensive stats from the offense......I don't think anyone is. But these numbers are just too pathetic to be excused. I've been going to games for years at Aggie Stadium, just as many of you have. This is not a talent-devoid team on offense. Something just isn't adding up here. I just don't see how we can be this bad in YEAR THREE under Broadway. We are putting up record lows in offensive categories that are just staggering to the mind. And as someone alluded to before, WHAT CAN WE REALLY EXPECT NEXT YEAR? ?? Kindle is gone - are the remaining QBs on the squad gonna blossom into legit starting QBs next year? Highly unlikely. Are we gonna get a JUCO or high school QB that will be able to come in immediately and turn things around? Highly unlikely. So when I sit back and objectively look at this, it still comes down to one thing to me ------ does Broadway and his staff truly understand offense and what will be needed to correct our misgivings on this side of the ball? ? I'm not trying to be a downer, but I really have concerns already about how year 4 may not be much different than year 3.......

I'm going to try "keeping it civil" too. I haven't attended practices so I cannot comment on how Quick does in practice. But I'm assuming that we have some good coaches that have years of experience evaluating talent in practice and in the game and they have decided that Kindle not Quick gives us the best chance to win games. Now some of you (me included) may say that Kindle hasn't done much this year to win games for us but I assume the coaching staff thinks he give us the "best chance."
As for why Kindle in his 5th year hasn't gotten "better," I think that has more to do with his limitations, the players around him and the style of offense we are running now. I gave my reason earlier about why I think Kindle is struggling so I will not repeat myself. I just don't think we have the all around talent on offense to execute successfully. And since we cannot draft a free-agent QB or offensive line, we will have to live with the players the coaches put on the field until next year.
I don't think our coaches are miracle workers that can magically turn an average player with limited talent into a superstar. We will have to wait until next year and hope they recruit some above average players with better talent.

I think there are three reason Kindle isn't having a great season this year: 1. No Wallace Miles 2.Opponents game-plan for his limitations 3.Our new offense. As ohsixrain brought up, I think Miles just caught everything thrown his way...good or bad passes. So Kindle could just lock in on him and Miles would do the rest. Now that Miles has graduated, Kindle doesn't have a reliable receiver to make those spectacular catches anymore. Without Miles our opponents know that they can put pressure on him and he tosses up pick-sixes. And finally, we have gone to a read-option offense...and Kindle's more of a drop-back pocket passing QB. At this point I don't think anyone, Kindle, the other offensive players or the coaching staff should be "blamed" for our poor offense. In college football, no matter what the players and coaching staff wants to do, sometimes it just doesn't workout. Sometimes the talent just isn't what you need to win. I've accepted that "we are what we are" this year and I'm hoping for a better offense next season. I agree with this statement , Wallace Miles made kindle look better than he was .

This is what concerns me: A&T scored it's second touchdown against FAMU on a damn fumblerooski play. Some bush%t you see every once in a while in a pop warner game. The fumblerookski was something Broadway brought with him from Grambling and even tried to do it against Delaware State (I believe) in 2011 when he first got here.
That tells me that he still has a hand in play-calling on offense, perhaps more than most would think.
There is no way a seasoned offensive coordinator like Bustle would call that play in the second half of a tight ballgame unless Broadway made him. It makes you wonder how just much input Broadway has had with this putrid offense.

Exactly. And Broadway gets all the credit.
It just makes me wonder how many other plays is he calling that may or may not have had similar results.

Bustle used it when he had Vick. So you can't make a general statement like " Broadway made him do it" All coaches have that play are plays like that in their bag of tricks .

What's sad about the comment? Again, I'm not asking Broadway to be Jesus - just make mild alterations in his game to where it appears he knows something about being a QB......
Hey Saab, I agree with you about the TE situation....If anyone knows, what happened to #45 Devin Moore?? I remember him catching a nice quick out for a TD vs Howard. To me, he has a good feel for the game, and he's a senior. If he's hurt, then I understand. But if not, this dude can give us those 5-10 yards we need to keep the chains moving or to give us a TD in the red zone.
