No one should be surprised at this. We dont have a stud QB on the roster. I dont necessarily hate or dislike Kindle. I just never thought he was a stud. He's an average MEAC QB who has always thought his arm and running ability was better than it actually is. Problem we have is that he is STILL our best option. We are going to have to live and die by him for the rest of the season, wether we like it or not.

This is what concerns me: The fumblerookski was something Broadway brought with him from Grambling That tells me that he still has a hand in play-calling on offense, perhaps more than most would think. There is no way a seasoned offensive coordinator like Bustle would call that play in the second half of a tight ballgame unless Broadway made him. It makes you wonder how just much input Broadway has had with this putrid offense. Come on .BT so if it was BSU using it , it's ok, but Broadway using it is not come on man. Bustle used it when he had Vick. So you can't make a general statement like " Broadway made him do it" All coaches have that play are plays like that in their bag of tricks . Sounds like Thrilla's got it out for Broadway.... Dont let the frustration of the season get to you Brotha...

Not really frustrated and definitely don't have it out for Broadway.
Unlike some of you dudes, I can be objective and state when something is not working. If we are going to criticize a 22 year old kid for not playing well, I have no problem saying that 40 and 50 year old men need to do a better job of recruiting and developing talent.
The football gods gave Broadway a 9-2 season this year and he was unable to take advantage of it. The biggest problem has been a putrid offense. The same putrid offense we have had since Broadway arrived in 2011. The same putrid offense we had under Alonzo Lee and, before him, Lee Fobbs.
At some point you have to question if we have the right system and people in place to improve that putrid offense.

Does he have a slow running drop back passer that has a habit of throwing pick-sixes? And when we play North Greenville University maybe we can out score them...do we play them next year for Homecoming?

I posted this on another thread here at BDV.com on Saturday night: Went to the game today. The officiating was fairly good (6 penalties each team), but there were some questionable calls. The most blatant one was the phantom pass interference call on A&T in the last 30 seconds of regulation. Calling that "holding" would have been somewhat believable...but to call pass interference was ridiculous...and could have decided the game. A&T rushed for 256 yards as a team. Aggie RB #28 Cohen rushed for 210 yards and Drake finished with 52. Aggie QB Kindle was as horrible as advertised, rushing for -12 yards and passing for 18 yards. THAT'S A TOTAL OF 6 YARDS OF TOTAL OFFENSE, SON!! He also threw another "Pick 6," which is becoming his best play. FAMU QB Fleming was not much better: 16 completions for only 122 yards (that's 3.4 yards per attempt) and he was the Rattlers' leading rusher with 21 yards. THAT AIN'T ENOUGH OFFENSE TO WIN, EITHER, DUDE!! A&T's defense was pretty solid for much of the game...but not all of it. Giving up a 97-yard drive with 3 minutes remaining in the game is inexcusable! Well, that's my take on the game. Rattlers head up to Norfolk State, who should have beaten cross-town villains Old Dominion today. The Rattlers will have their hands full, to say the least! Meanwhile, the Aggies host that phantom team from Lynchburg for GHOE. Let's hope that the we don't have a "Jackson State-style" homecoming with no actual football game!

They are also giving up 32 points and over 450 yards per game...

Is Pizzo's offense playing in a lot of shoot outs? Are they playing from behind? Does anybody in that league play defense? Just looking at one stat doesn't tell the whole story.

I've seen Kindle throw the ball in the past. Idk which game it was, maybe it was NCCU, but he moved the ball whenever he needed to. He got into a groove and NCCU could not stop us when we needed to score. Even that last drive against the soft coverage of DSU, had me wondering. I cant believe what I'm reading with the stats. Maybe Coach wants him to just manage the game right now.
On the other hand, if Coach wants to try to win by running the ball, with solid Defense then I get it. It really seems like whenever we got away from the run (by trying something else, or by penalties) we stalled. ( Elon & Howard).
As far as Quick, I would like to see him get some work too. Besides, he should be able to make some plays passing, once things open up. Judging the App. St. game.
Condolences to His Family.

That the passing offense sucks. I'm not debating that, but to think that a coach who has won multiple championships doesn't know what he's doing doesn't make sense o me.

That the passing offense sucks. I'm not debating that, but to think that a coach who has won multiple championships doesn't know what he's doing doesn't make sense o me. In theory, I agree with you....but in reality, with our offense being as bad as it has been for these past 2 years, it really has to be questioned if he understands or is willing to make adjustments on the offensive side of the ball. As I stated before, if we think YEAR THREE is bad offensively......look into the crystal ball at YEAR FOUR. It's hard to be optimistic that things will improve. Unless Tarik Cohen learns how to play QB, I think we will be in just as much trouble offensively next year as we are now. There has to be SIGNIFICANT RECRUITING.....and these blue chip recruits have to IMMEDIATELY PAY DIVIDENDS next year. Another thing - I don't think there is an argument from anyone on this board that MEAC football is better than the SWAC or CIAA. I'm not saying we are the gold standard, but the collective football quality is better. What may have worked at Central and Grambling may not necessarily work at A&T or in the MEAC. I've gotta see Broadway and his staff make some adjustments to improve our offensive production.....through the remainder of this year and in 2014. It may seem as if I and others are not on Broadway's side. However, that cannot be the furthest from the truth. He's a good coach and a good man....it still doesn't take away from the fact that this offense (outside of Tarik Cohen) is just as bad as it was last year when I was clamoring for Pizzo to be fired. The offensive buck (232K bucks to be exact) now stops with Broadway. I really want him and his staff to succeed and take our program to previously unforeseen heights......

What's the kid's name from Southern Durham H.S. QB that left due to grades or maybe transfer. His name skips my mind. He was suppose to be "the" QB this year and from what I am told he would have been a really good QB. Ilke I have stated in the past, Quick was not recruited as a QB but he does an okay job when he is in the lineup. Belcher is still in school

That's good news Kev. Hopefully he can become eligible again. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
