With the improved APR is it possible that we could play a FBS team ? Correct me if wrong but if a FCS teams APR is below the minimum this would discourage a FBS team from scheduling as it would hurt the FBS team (game would not count) ?

You are correct, but while we got scholarships back I think those scholarships were given back as part of a "waiver" because we showed improvement. I dont think we are officially back to the level we need to be that would allow us to play a FBS team? Maybe next year.

inability to play fbs money games have really hurt us in the pocket... You don't say. And what does that come back to..... A&T providing the necessary support for its athletes. Decisions that folk make around here come back full circle

My source tells me there's a good chance it might be VUL again. Teams like VUL worry me because they have different rules on admitting athletes than we do. Those giants they had on the line will be more experienced this year. We will be better but so will they. I would rather play FCS teams. By the way, VUL has a new athletics web site. They were very young last year and a few of those big dudes are transfers from large programs. Check ‘em out. vulathletics.com/index.aspx?path=footballvulathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=footballWe will play VUL on Sept. 15th

On Twitter, a WVSU football player mentioned that they are playing a night game at A&T on Sept 8th (he thinks). So, piecing things together, I guess the TENTATIVE schedule will be:
Sep-1 at Coastal Carolina Sep-8 WVSU Sep-15 VUL Sep-22 open Sep-29 Morgan State Oct-6 at Bethune-Cookman Oct-13 Howard Oct-20 at Delaware State Oct-27 Norfolk State Nov-3 Florida A&M Nov-10 South Carolina State Nov-17 at North Carolina Central
Don’t make any plans until it’s released officially folks. Let the jokes begin!

i have no idea why we're playing coastal as our first game of the season. i'd like to think we had no other choice. but clearly i wouldn't want to open the season against them.
maybe since they have a new football coach, we can catch them at a good time. because they'll have a new coaching staff, hopefully they will have to iron out a lot of new wrinkles when they play us...

VUL and WVSU (Johnson C. Smith beat them 64-27 last year). I will remind you all again about what I said a couple months ago.
It was concerning why we were not gonna play dem stank butt rams this year. I'm not gonna just make up something on here.

Ask Broadway and Hilton and you will know what I know. I'm done with it my brutha cause people can believe what they want. If you know Broadway he is going to schedule 1 or 2 cupcakes every year. We can speculate and analyze this and that but I know the deal. Most will not accept it and continue to rationalize and speculate. Me, I go to the ones who make the decisions. It's been discussed by me on here before....so we will let it rest. I throw up my hands cause what I know won't make me rich. I ain't mad , I'm glad!!

'cuz if were going to allege that scheduling vul and wvsu means we're scared to wssu, i would point out to you, then why would we be playing coastal on opening day who is much more of a threat to beat us than wssu...
