Looks like we will have an early Bye. Also on September 22nd, A&T and Hampton has an open date so hopefully we will play them.....I suspect it would be at Hampton since we already have like 6 home games.

Error correction...we only have 5 home games thus far. In addition, A&T and Savanah State both have open dates on Sept 15th....could possibly be an away game for us since they only have 3 home games thus far.

Has there been any talk about future opponents for the upcoming 2012 Football Season?

Western Carolina has definitely been in the discussions. I expect a couple of FCS cup cakes in two slots.

AGGIE One, I was going to mention them in my previous post, In State opponent, FCS, Southern Conf, wow, I think it would be good to play The Catamounts.......also thought about Campbell, they could use an IN STATE FCS opponent, especially all the traveling they have to do in Pioneer Conf. AGGIE PRIDE!

No teams are CUP CAKES if you don't beat them? Campbell would be a good opponent.

Sent from my ADR6400L using ProBoards I have not seen this in writing, but I believe that the 2012 conference football schedules will mirror the previous 2011 schedules...just flip-flopping home teams. Savannah State should rotate onto Ayantee's schedule in 2013 & 2014 (probably on a permanent basis).

I wouldn't mind playing Campbell. They would probably welcome and embrace the challenge of coming to Aggie Stadium. They have a CRAZY travel schedule, so playing an in-state non-conference opponent(and possibly get paid for it) would be a no brainer for them. Stadium only holds 5000(4000 sitting), so I doubt they would request a home and home if we offer a decent payout. They average almost 3000 at home games, so it shouldn't take a huge offer.
Honestly I wouldn't mind adding any Div2 school in NC. Would prefer WSSU, but I'm not getting into that conversation again. About $30K should entice any NC Div2 school to come to Aggie Stadium. There's plenty of them to choose from.

Sent from my ADR6400L using ProBoards I seriously doubt that we or any other MEAC team will have more than 8 conference games. So we won't be playing Hampton or SSU until 2013.

I can tell yout his. It won't be a CIAA team on the schedule. Campbell, G-Webb or Elon will work.
