i've been on vacation and i just got back home from the essence music festival in new orleans. and man, i really had a ball! but as soon as i got home, my next order of business was to call the aggie ticket office and renew my 2 football season tickets.
however, before i had a chance to even dial the phone number, i received a phone call directly from the aggie ticket office encouraging me to renew my season tickets. i've been a consistent season ticket holder for several years now, but this is the very first time i've been called directly by the ticket office encouraging me to renew my season tickets.
wow! the signs are there that our alma mater really needs our financial help. first it was the introduction of the fanzone and now the ticket office is reaching out to season ticket holders to renew their tickets. like i said, i've never gotten a call like this before. nonetheless, my season ticket order was completed this morning and i'm looking forward to the vul opening season game...

Hey OSA, yes I agree the Ticket Office does need our help, but it also could be a sign of "The Beginning of a New Era of "AGGIE ATHLETICS" AGGIE PRIDE!

I don't think its a sign that we need financial help, but instead a sign that we are actively courting and making sure that we're reaching out to our athletic supporters.
Now if we made it easier to order season tickets online, then I could have it done by now.

Wait a minute... Athletics and the Ticket Office never called season ticket holders encouraging them to renew their tickets?
That's like one of the most basic things a non-profit, such as A&T should have been doing already.
Better late than never...

As the head of both collegiate and pro sports ticket offices for more than 25 years in the past, I can attest that this is exactly what the ticket office should have been doing for years. And, NO, it is not a sign that "sales are down." It's a sign that the athletics department has finally become totally PROACTIVE in its approach to generating revenue. As soon as the season ends, the ticket office should be calling every one of it's accounts and offering seating upgrades in seating locations. Season ticket renewals should be mailed very early, with a small deposit required to renew seats and staggered payment options should be offered to complete the payment process. ALL UNPAID RENEWALS SHOULD BE CALLED AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE THE RENEWAL DEADLINE ARRIVES. And all accounts should be called DURING THE SEASON to ask about any problems or concerns. CUSTOMER SERVICE from the ticket office can go a long way in increasing revenue and keeping your top customers (your season ticketholders) happy and coming back year-after-year. IT ONLY TAKES " EFFORT." ;D Great job, Patsy & Gang.

Its something that we should have done long before now. Its make good business sense. You always reach out to your continue supporters when you don't it could send the message that you are taken for granted. I know personally I have never gotten a call from the ticket office and I don't know many years I have been a continue ticket holders.
I bet the Wake Forest and UNC schools have done this for years.

i was gonna purchase my season tickets anyway. but it still feels good to be appreciated, and that's what the phone call did for me.
man, i really wish they would stop having early afternoon basketball games on weekends too. it spoils the atmosphere and it decreases attendance. if they want to increase basketball revenue, one way to do it is to start weekend basketball games in the evening instead of early afternoons.
starting the lady's games around 6pm would be ideal. it gives out of town alums adequate time to travel to greensboro and the undergrads would have plenty of time to sleep in on saturdays after late night partying on friday nights. a winning men's basketball team would also go a long way too...

this must be an oleschoolaggie world's record! i've never received my season tickets within 3 days of placing my order! NEVER!! omg! what are those folks over at the ticket office trying to do! huh? operate like a truly efficient professional ticket office? ;D
can't believe it! got my tickets handed to me in my hand at my house today! and i live in maryland, mind you! omg! i dunno, maybe i'm over reacting or something. but to experience "two" oleschoolaggie first ever's within a 3 day ticket office experience just may not be coincidental. i mean, i got a ticket office phone call for the very first time ever and i got my tickets within 3 days of placing my order for the first time ever.
might this be signs of improvement to our ticket office? or am i just imagining things? i've known times in the past when i didn't receive my tickets for at least a week or even a couple of weeks after placing my order. now, if they could just get that online ticket purchasing functionality improved, then we'd be on to something...
