Our games are really boring, certainly because the team has not been doing that well but also because the energy of the band is being wasted by them sitting on the end next to open space and away from our fans. It makes no sense. Our home games were pretty boring when we were winning. Cant blame the band placement, but we were definitely wine and cheese unless the game was on the line. Moving them would definitely help.

I realize some people are REALLY resistant to change. Sometimes change is good!! Our games are really boring, certainly because the team has not been doing that well but also because the energy of the band is being wasted by them sitting on the end next to open space and away from our fans. It makes no sense. The "gold coat" section (reserved seating) near the fifty yard line certainly dosen't pump it up. They are loyal supporters but they don't make any REAL noise. Wake Up Errrrrrbody No More Sleeping In Bed!!! You do realize that putting the band on the 50 will bother the coaches due to the fact they won't be able to hear the plays. Have you also thought about the seats in the reserve section and the seats near the band are different. If you move the reserve sections then you have to re due the seats in those sections. How will the people in the press box be able to see with the band standing and instruments in the way? JSU is more on the 35 closer to the far endzone. There stadium is different than ours so they can march thru.

i thought the band's new location would be near the 10 yard line/goaline on the end where the horseshoe closes..

Professor, he was just stating that the reserves are boring. The band would be in the exact same place, just on the other end. Not between the 30s.

Yes, to clarify I was speaking of moving the band approx. even w/goal line or near the horse shoe. Man, the acoustics will be 100% better the fans will be able to get down and our team will get energy from the result. It will be worth 1 close game victory per year bare minimum. Does anybody NOT think that we can use all the help and support to try and turn this thing around. Before Aggie Stadium was built back in the day, War Memorial Stadium was used and our band sat near the 20-30 yard line and it was ON, our place was a feared place to play in and the band was soooooo hot___ errrrrbody got involved!!!

I still don't see what moving them will do but cause interference within the game. The refs are already buttholes when it comes to playing during the game. That's where you need to be focusing your complaints

That's where you need to be focusing your complaints Professor, its the SAME location on the field in regards to yard line, just on the other end. They wont be any closer to the team or field. It will just allow for more people to be around them. They wont be any louder than the norm.

That end of the stadium is closed in and that sound will be bounce around that end of the stadium. We cannot compare our self to Jackson's stadium since it holds 70,000 people. Plus the bands in the SWAC get to the game early and have their battle before the game even starts.

Same issue you have when you have a band in a dome. The sound has no where to go. Why do you think they are where they are now And the sound from the current section interferes with the game and that's on the open end of the stadium.

I think that the band would have to experiment with the idea of moving. The size of the band would probably require two sections in the horseshoe end because the stands are lower. Perhaps the AD, the band director and the head football coach would be the persons to look at this idea. There appear to be some logistical problems such as how would the band access the stadium before the game, and access the field and stands at halftime? Would this move interfere with the ability of the fans to freely move about? Would it interfere with the vendors? Will there have to be costly renovations to the stadium to make this possible? Sounds like a good idea, but I suspect that Athletics (AD & football) and the Band would have to see if it would work.

This statement makes no sense considering the stadium didn't become a full U until 1994. they are where they are now for easy access to the field. Not to mention we would get flag in Domes if that was the case. Yall are reaching talking about "bouncing sound "in an open air stadium. if you dont like the move just say you dont like the move. Kev dont like the move or dont think it will happen, he admits it, lol. thats fine, keep they asses where they at and let A&T stay wine and cheese. P People dont call the Dean Dome wine and cheese much anymore since Matt Daugherty suggested the student bleachers do they? Best thing he did for UNC. If some from a message board would have suggested they would have laughed him out the building.

Of course, the stadium will be louder but isn't that what college football should be about??? The band is not suppose to play while there is action on the field, that won't change. I understand logistics and some slight (non-costly) plans will have to be implemented for it to work. But if it will be a better hook up for pumping up the volume, getting more hype (life), and helping our team with the major advantage of providing more energy, man I'm giving up my present seats and jumping in it to win it. People use to look at us with envy because our stadium provided a SUPA SPECIAL game day atmosphere because we did what we do back when it was jumping. This move will be a great start to go with our re-emergence as a team on the UP!!!!

You should ask the MEAC why they have so many rules regarding bands playing then?
And when A&T stadium was rocking, the band was sitting in the same place it is now

I remember when we played JSU in 01 and SCSU in 02 @ the Georgia Dome. Coaches were screaming at the band. But we didn't care. Now Dr Ruff plays by the rules
