It seems to me that every school in the MEAC has taken steps forward so far this year and by keeping the same staff to coach the same players this year minus a true head coach we are taking steps back. At the very least a new coach would/could bring a new energy......With the same staff there will be the same energy and the first thing that goes wrong or after the first loss they will be the same team from last year......We are looking at a zero win season!

Rags is our only choice because of the way the search has been handled. The only way Broadway was gonna come to A&T was if his AD Dawson came with him because he knows the history----6 coaches in 10 yrs., 6-7 AD's in 12yrs. Maynor had too much to lose by taking a chance on A&T after WSSU offered him $160,000.

Just curious,
Doesn't giving money presumably give one the right to not shut their damn mouths? If giving money means I have to keep silent when I'm not receiving any communication regarding what folks are doing with my money, then I'm better off not giving a dime and opening my damn mouth.

I can only assume by your strong statement and use of all CAPS that you are an advocate of how the Chancellor handled this firing and hiring. If by redeem you mean the Chancellor got lucky, then you are right. However, he does get some credit for keeping the cards on the table. But the grading period has just begun and this was a two month take home test. Just wait until we start asking WTH is going on with the AAF (that’s definitely his baby also), and why don't we have a comprehensive marketing and athletic infrastructure plan, why the press box isn’t started (BTW how was the new Press Box financed). You see, success doesn’t just happen you have to make it happen and shutting up is not an option. The goal shouldn't be to shut us up, but to get everybody on the same page. Some type of communication plan would go a long ways towards doing that. |
