New Team new season. To tell you the truth Bethune is sliding down a little and in couple of year will be at our level. I hope I am wrong about that because I like Shine and the way he run things. Fobbs will have a big sign down in the A&T locker room 70-7 Remember the ESPNU slaughter

Y'all have fun at homecoming freezing your asses off watching us get drug. I'll call for updates from the beach.
Honestly I don't expect us to win a game again but I don't expect us to be blown out by halftime either. I don't care if the whole Clemson team comes we're still rebuilding with a coach that is learning on the job.
Taking into consideration what we've seen as far as the caliber of player Fobbs has been able to bring in he seems to have the recruiting part down. From what I've heard he's a very personable guy, so he should be able to go into the community and get some money for his program, a la Hayes. The ultimate test will be whether we can give him the monetary support necessary to take some of the responsibilities off of his shoulders and still live the luxurious lifestyle he became accustomed to as a I-A position coach. In other words, we've got to pay for some experienced assistants to help the brother out or continue to wait for the ones he's got now to come around.
I'm still thinking 0-11 with closer games this year and around .500 for next. By then the foundation is set for the program.

You right Thirilla. This is why regardless who we get coming in we should be careful about our expectations this year. No one want to admit how awful of a team we really was last year. We need to set realistic goals and if we surpassed then great give credit to Coach Fobbs.
I like to think that hopefully we can put ourselves in position to maybe win a game or least going into the 4th Q. still having the score close.

I'm just glad to see we are not running from Central. I dont care how sorry we were last year, you cant deny the pay day.
People just need to except that we are/will be in the same conference and Central will just have to find somewhere to play their home game against us themselves. I could never understand why we so concerned about it in the first place. Just do a home and home and let the other team figure it out. I love the schedule! I aint taking my black a$$ to CA, but I still love the schedule. I say keep the SCSU game in Charlotte. You are going to have down years in attendence until A&T's program builds back up, but I'd rather see it there than go down to SCSU every other year.

Homecoming should be real nice, especially if Cookman brings their band.

Maxwell: Nothing is simple as it seems and yea I'm on my soapbox..... but if Corbett could do it in the 80's why not bring b'ball back to the forefront in the 00's..... is it worth a shot??? Do you want to stay broke forever or be the one hbcu to break the mold and treat b'ball special??? 1) Example: hbcus make b'ball play all these guaranty games for revenue..... but how many put any of that money back into b'ball so they can get better??? Very few!!! 2) I know there are a lot of you who think football is the money ticket..... I'm just not one of them....but on the other-hand if our stadium seated 45,000 + we might have something to work with. 3) Is alumni giving the only way..... if everyone joined the aggieclub how much would that help?? Is there a quick fix for our delima outside of the coaches head on a platter every time you turn around??? 4) That's one thing you want here from me and that is..... " fire the coach"...... because A&T has been blessed with good coaches, we just don't realize how hard wins are to come by at "T". And how bad administrative decisions handicap our coaches as well. 5) Hampton is one hbcu that doesn't need to play guarantied games.... they just need our fan base!!! 6) Everyone needs help at "T"...... the coaches, the AD...... everyone!!! As critical as I may be, I do realize that much....

still trying to work my way around this system, however i am sadden to hear that we are broke, I have yet to review any audit or definite info on that, I do realized that the changes in the state policies that prohibited asst. coaches from being able to teach a class and be paid from other revenues assuming tuition, so now we have their payroll, Brother Davis and Small for another minute or two, I guess we are broke. The NCCU thing is interesting because alumni are split on this, it is clear that if we never played them I wouldn't miss it, In Raleigh I had easy access to the game, large tailgate party but never worry about the game and when it was over, we just won a game that will do nothing for us, I think you will see a different central team this fall, if you live by transfer from HBCUs you may die by the same cause, look for some eagles in Grambling come fall. Our alumni chapter here is split also, why play a game that does nothing for you, I think if you look closer you will see that the crowd you are counting on is the Aggies, yeah central person may come to the game but not buy tickets. I would like to know if this central thing on 9/22 is legitimate

I've always been a big advocate for the NCCU game, and most of you know this. I think it's a good strategy coming off of a season with no wins. Right now, generating revenue and presenting a competetive team should be priority. We can't afford to worry about the NCAA right now. Let's see how things fair for the next 2 years, and if we're back in the higher echolons of the conference, we can be more critical of who we play.

How are we going to get 28K in Aggie Stadium? We didn't even have enough of a demand last homecoming to warrant any temporary bleachers behind the north endzone. I think our max attendance will level out at about 22-23,000 for the time being.

I think that depends on what time the game is scheduled. If it's marketed properly, people will come. Especially if folks from NCCU believe they'll win.

Some Eagles may go to Grambling , but they will not play next year...you can not transfer up or across and play w/o sitting out....Beat BCCU....how long did it take BCCU to come back from the 70 points you put on them a few years ago?
