I’m not following this thread at all, but that’s nothing new.
1st, some of you a cosigning what viteblufifall80 is saying and what I get out of that compilation of words, is that we aren't good enough to play Central so we shouldn't. And that we shouldn’t play in Classics for a similar risk of embarrassment. Some Classics and definitely Central in Greensboro are guarantee paydays. What choice do we have? Guess what it looks like they are both gonna happen, Central in Greensboro 9/22, and PVAM in LA in 2007.
2nd, if all HBCUs are flat broke why is it that some go 11-0 and some go 0-11?
3rd, I don’t know what soapbox truthseeker is on, but if he’s advocating basketball (Mens & Womens) gets a larger chunk of the pie, then I’m on that soapbox also.

Maxwell:
Nothing is simple as it seems and yea I'm on my soapbox..... but if Corbett could do it in the 80's why not bring b'ball back to the forefront in the 00's..... is it worth a shot??? Do you want to stay broke forever or be the one hbcu to break the mold and treat b'ball special???
1) Example: hbcus make b'ball play all these guaranty games for revenue..... but how many put any of that money back into b'ball so they can get better??? Very few!!!
2) I know there are a lot of you who think football is the money ticket..... I'm just not one of them....but on the other-hand if our stadium seated 45,000 + we might have something to work with.
3) Is alumni giving the only way..... if everyone joined the aggieclub how much would that help?? Is there a quick fix for our delima outside of the coaches head on a platter every time you turn around???
4) That's one thing you want here from me and that is..... " fire the coach"...... because A&T has been blessed with good coaches, we just don't realize how hard wins are to come by at "T". And how bad administrative decisions handicap our coaches as well.
5) Hampton is one hbcu that doesn't need to play guarantied games.... they just need our fan base!!!
6) Everyone needs help at "T"...... the coaches, the AD...... everyone!!! As critical as I may be, I do realize that much....

QUOTE: "It is as simple as Truthseeker says. Todd hired Fotts on her own. She sinks or swims with him; Therefore, football gets money. See how simple it was? But, then again, I'm simpleminded"
Da Heretic: YOU WOULD MAKE A GOOD AD..... OR AT LEAST A GOOD PROBLEM SOLVER FOR THE AD!!!!

Aggie 77: Are we playing PVAM in LA?? That's a game that should be played in G'boro.....this would be a promoters dream....check it out!!! A game between 2 of the worst programs in college football..... battling for football supremacy!!!! And halftime would be off the hook..... pre-game show..... post-game show..... battle of the drum lines, dancing girls,cheerleaders.... Man!!!..... Play this game in G'boro!!!!!!!!!!

If Ms Todd says that were are playing PV and NCCU then the schedule look like this in Sept
A Sept 1 WSSU(50-50 chance of winning) NS Sept 8 PV (60% chance of winning H Sept 15 Hampton(3% chance of winning) H Sept 22 NCCU (40% chance of winning) H Sept 29 Norfolk(60% chance of winning)
This would a good home schedule with just leaving the Triad area just once in Sept plus winnable game. If Fobbs goes 0-5 he will be in some trouble. This could also lead to a 4-1 start if all goes well

I think you can move Hampton up to a 5% chance.

Now if we look at the rest of the schedule
Oct 6 Morgan Away(tough) Oct 13 Del State Home(tough) Oct 20 Howard Away(Howard might be sorry by then) Oct 27 BC Homecomming(Grudge game might have a good chance to win) Nov 3 FAMU Away(tough) Nov 17 SCSU Away or Charlotte(extra tough)
We might not win a game except for Homecomming.

disregard the Oct portion of the schedule since A&T and WSSU will not have homecomming on the same weekend

How do you go from getting blown out 70-7 in 2006 to having "a good chance to win" the very next year?
