First of all, it is ashamed that the Charlotte Observer is too cheap or too lazy to send a STAFF WRITER or a STRINGER to cover a Women's NIT game right here in town. The Winston-Salem Journal sent a writer to cover Wake Forest's Women's NIT game. I thought that the Observer was better than that.
Maybe you'll get it right next time...but I doubt it.
And, secondly, NCA&T did not "upset" anyone. They beat the crap out of an inferior ACC team in their own gym...just like they should have done.

From what i read you did more than just call them out...you read them the Riot Act...LMAO!
LOL!! Well...I don't think that I was out-of-bounds on calling them out. One thing that I will say about the Charlotte Observer: They treat UNCC like crap...just like they treat JCSU like crap. If you're not UNC, WFU, NCSU or Duke, then you just don't matter.
What needs to happen is for our own BLACK FORUM MEMBERS (like BDV members) to call the News-Record and other media outlets on the lack of A&T coverage on a consistent basis. To clear that up, we need to make complaint calls to them on a consistent basis. It certainly worked for FAMU back in the 1980s and 1990s concerning their lack of sports coverage in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and St. Petersburg.
We have got to put pressure on the N-R to assign a writer to A&T sports (like the W-S Journal has in John Dell)...and to cover our sports evenly, whether they are undefeated or winless. Former SIDs like Joe Faust and Drexel Ball did that and got results.
What also needs to happen is for our own BLACK MEDIA (The Carolina Peacemaker, Charlotte Post, Winston-Salem Chronicle, Tallahassee's The Capital Outlook, etc.) to re-connect with our community on a sports-basis and provide deeper coverage our schools via their websites. But this also means that we (fans in the black community) need to support our black media through subscriptions and advertising, too.
BVD.Com just might be the vehicle that puts the proper pressure on the local papers to cover A&T sports properly. BornThrilla is always seeking financial help for A&T athletics, but what about financial support for BVD.com?? I'm in contact with advertisers each and every day. Would advertising dollars make BVD.com stronger in it's support and coverage of Aggie Athletics?? I would love to talk to him about that.
If we are going to depend on the N-R for our information, we are in real trouble.
OK...I'm off the Soapbox.
