Aggie One,
I mentioned Gould (NJ recruit), but was not aware of Stewart. I assume that you and jslee are suggesting that we are deep at the WR's position. Is that correct??

I think we should be pretty deep at WR.

We're better than good at wideout and TE. We have the QBs. Top teir RBs. Now lets just get the right folks up the O-line together.

MEET THE NEWEST AGGIE - Braddie Ellison signs a national letter-of-intent to play football for the Division I-AA Aggies of North Carolina A&T State University www2.hernandotoday.com/content/2010/feb/05/ellison-answers-higher-calling/areasports/I think Ellison will be the hidden gem in this class. The reason no one else offered him is because his team simply didn't throw to the tight end often. A red shirt year may serve him well.

Ellison is probably the most underrated recruit in the MEAC that signed this week. Taking nothing away from the rest of the group because they all are pretty dog gone good prospects and each filled the very gaps where we need to take that next step but he, William Robinson, and C.J .Frederick are definitely top rung legitmate D-1 BCS caliber recruits.
A great TE, a big strong left tackle to protect the blind side and "take it to the house at anytime" breakaway RB.
Game changers.

AGGIES ADD TO THEIR DEFENSIVE LINE
Aggies have signed four defensive linemen
GREENSBORO, February 10, 2010 – The North Carolina A&T football coaching staff wasn’t able to present him on Signing Day, but none of that seems to matter today after defensive tackle Eric Young signed his letter of intent to become an Aggie.
Young (6-3, 325, Durham, N.C.) adds to the Aggies rebuilding of a defensive line that lost three starters. He played at Hillside High School in Durham where he was a Rivals and scouts.com 2-star athlete.
“This young man was worth the wait,’’ said head coach Alonzo Lee. “He is one of the biggest steals for us this year. Our linebackers should be smiling today because he is going to demand double teams. He’s a strong young man who is explosive.”
During his senior season, Young recorded 60 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and he recovered two fumbles. His efforts earned him defensive player of the year honors along with all-conference and All-Area recognition. The prior season saw Young make 75 stops with 18 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and five forced fumbles.

He's a true monster at DT who runs a 5.1 forty at 325 plus. He was dominating on the film from the US Army all-star combine in the one on one bull rush drills.
He is extremely quick off the snap, strong as a couple of paired up Mack Trucks, and eats gun powder for lunch - a real mean streak in his style of play. He's exactly an Alonzo Lee type of defensive player.

This is certainly exciting to think about for next season, I hope we don't run our expectations too high.

i like what coach lee said about this class. he said it'll make the returnees work harder during the offseason because the recruits are good enough to step in and play immediately. in terms of expectations, that's very encouraging to me. that means guys like mayhew and payne can't rest on last year's laurels. the entire returning offensive line can't be complacent during the offseason.
i don't think the general will allow this team to underachieve. if anything, i would think they would feel that they still have something to prove. should be a good year for aggie football...
