Since the guy just visited A&T this week, probably for the first time, I think he deserves a grace period of a couple weeks. This is huge decision for him and his family. BTW, is it common practice for parents to accompany recruits on visits. He visited back in February as well. I think Eaves may have offered the scholarship as early as December. Dude has had us on hold for a long time. What! This must've been an informal visit then. Are you sure he came in Feb?

Are you sure he came in Feb? he was here homecoming weekend... we tried to get him to sign early... smith & buck were here then too... they signed early... penny was here this wk. on an unofficial visit... from what i can gather... pennys mother wants him to come here... but she is leaving the decision up to him... the young man is a little indecisive...

This is laughable. The kid has no other D1 offers and he can't make up his mind. lol The super recruiter that's responsible for Bibbs success would've had this kid enrolled in summer school already.
C'mon.

Just move on? Is it safe to say that if you are willing to "just move on" that maybe this kid is a dud anyway? Do you "just move on" from Ty Lawson or any other recruit that you really really like? Or do you do what most successful people in this world do and fight for what you want until the door is absolutely closed? "Just move on"............wow the ever so negative bigboy, i've come not to expect anything more. of course you move on if you have another prospect on hold. otherwise, hang tight with dude and if he doesn't sign don't waste the scholly on a "marginal" player. save it for next year or perhaps a decent d1 transfer will drop in our laps from out of the sky... Yeah, expect me to be negative when it comes to this garbage we call recruiting. Oldeschool, the kid's choices are A&T, naia, and jucos and he can't make up his mind. This is embarassing. What can I be positive about. Enlighten me. lol

I suspect he may be considering prep school if he's convinced he deserves a bigger stage to play on.

This kid has the makings of a bigtime disappointment. I don't want him at 'T.
It would probably take him 7 years to decide on a major.

Oldeschool, I have been an entrepreneur since I graduated. As a matter of fact, I've never used my degree in my life. You don't survive, especially now, if you're not optimistic by nature. I am a conservative optimist through and through. But you guys look at everything like it is great when it comes to A&T. At some point, you've got to wake the heck up. Eaves has always proved to you that he can't recruit, but you still believe. As soon as I saw this kid's numbers and who was recruiting him, I knew it was some BS. Now look around...........people are publicly calling for him to play eleswhere. lol It's no doubt that I'm wrong up here sometimes, but for the most part, I'm dead on. Especially about recruiting. I criticized every recruit last year and no one came out and surprised us this year. Even Marc Hill. It might sicken you, but I'm sorry...........I'm right. And the thought that "its positive that he's considering us at all" is so lame that I actually can't believe YOU said it. We're his only D1 offer and he's treating us like we're the school of the blind. You think Bozeman or Roy Williams are happy because a recruit "considers" them? No, and I guess that's why they are winners and we're not. Now, that's sickening.

lol, what does a bad prediction and recruiting have to do with each other. And I see you conveniently didn't touch the fact that I criticized every recruit last year and was right about that.
I've never claimed to be anyone..........but who are you again?
lol

"would bozeman recruit a 6'1" guard?" the very same ole shigidy you're sayin' about penney. you're so very redundant, its sickening. the fact that a 20 plus points per game basketball recruit is considering a&t is a positive thing. but being positive versus being satisfied are two different things! recruits turn down schools all the time, so it won't be the end of the world if he doesn't choose a&t. and you don't know why the kid hasn't yet decided to sign with a&t, it could be anything. you don't know what his personal circumstances are. so if he doesn't sign with a&t, we don't need to hear your ranting over and over again about how eaves can't recruit. we know your opinion 'cause you say the same thing over and over again. and you're wrong over and over again! and here's the comment that by your own admission defines you; As soon as I saw this kid's numbers and who was recruiting him, I knew it was some BS. bigboy, do you know what the word "naive" means?

This kid has the makings of a bigtime disappointment. I don't want him at 'T. I second that. His heart isn't with A&T. The program can't take a sleepwalker/daydreamer whose mind is somewhere else. Hopefully by the end of May we hear of another player or two that are coming on board.

It's just a difference of opinion. I'm skeptical about the men's program and you're optimistic. I don't think you need mental help or anything like that. You're just on the other side and that's OK. We need liberal minds in the world that think like you. As a matter of fact, I've even heard a guy say that's "a mental disorder". lol I don't need attention Oldeschool, I just see my alma mater out of a different set of eyes than you do. And yes, I will jump the gun....and yes, will be wrong again in the future. But that's OK. I'll admit when I'm wrong and won't think twice about it. When Eaves does well, I say it. It's just that doesn't happen very much. Most of the fan base supports blindly just like you do and I firmly believe that is part of the reason the athletic department is in the position it is now. But remember, at the end of the day, this is an opinionated mesage board. Some of you lose sight of that sometimes.

One thing that you have to take into consideration is time spent recruiting a player....It seems to me that we have always been late in the recruiting process.....The 2011 class is loaded, i mean really loaded...Who are we recruiting for 2011? As a matter of fact, what about next year? why are we still recruiting for 2009? I dont like talking bad about our basketball program, but I know there are kids in North Carolina who can play and would love to come to A&T.
Start a relationship with a kid as a soph, and continue to develop it and see what happens...Players are extremely loyal to schools who gave them their first look...UNC-W is the first school that showed my son some interest, and if you ask him what school is on the top of his list, he will tell you UNC-W...
I can see reservations about coming to NC from Kentucky as well...Let's see how it all pans out...
